Because we need more joy in our lives: @BBCArchive #OnThisDay 1984: A group of men from Surrey had taken historical reenactment a step further, by turning lawn mowers into roman chariots. The ‘charimo’ was equivalent to four horses, and just like a horse-drawn carriage was steered by reins.
I thought I had seen it all as an Etsy seller, but I've just had an 'my order hasn't arrived yet' about a thing they bought from me almost 3 years ago. I'm sorry, my friend, but no. #SmallBusiness #SmallBiz
I saw a thistle today that was at least 7ft high. A monster of a thing.

Hmm, maybe fleecy. Like shorts that have a bit of stretch, that you can wear comfortably around the house or to run about it. Not the non-stretchy ones that are linen or that have turn ups and need ironing, you know? Like this
Being woken up by a number of burley firemen pounding in my door, telling me my flat is on fire (it wasn’t) was not how I was expecting to begin today.
have you seen japanese sitting baths? As long as I could stretch my legs out flat I would kill for one of these
What do you call these (and where are you from) please? I don't mean the type, just the thing in general (swimsuit etc). I call them bathers, but where I grew up people generally call them swimmers, togs or a cozzie. Or, if you have the right bits, budgie smugglers.
I went to see the first public staged reading of a new musical Raising Gays this afternoon and it was great! Hoping to see it become a fully fledged show before too long. #MakeTheatreNotWar
Vintage glove stretchers, apparently. I'm sure I've seen one or two of these in my GP's office.
Also managed to fit in a little theatre today. It was wonderful as well. #MakeTheatreNotWar
Talking of pins, I bought this excellent one yesterday. You wouldn’t believe how many times I have gotten lost trying to find the entrance to this place, and I’ve been there a zillion times before!
