Oh it’s the hardcover with a wee hole in the jacket for a “record.” Underneath, the book looks silver:
Heyday Books remains my favorite publisher. May pitch a narrative nonfiction about the micro-Oakland ecosystem in my childhood backyard.

While searching for pics of last night's fireworks show, I came across this image: a "crisis line" call box on the GG bridge. Wow. I never knew. My grandfather was the CHP ofr. who investigated the first suicide on the GG. I'm certain that "Cholie" would have approved of the life-saving netting. 💙
Got my brown noise pumped up for my chocolate dog! Rox was standing on top of me, panting, until I put a speaker between her and the window. The deep bass and low frequency of brown noise blocks out fireworks booms. Now she sleeps. Dip your ears into this ad-free stream: youtu.be/snlA7rFR0iQ?...
My dog Rox is alive because of people like you. Thank you for your support. She can run again after getting bullied by two huge dogs. She-we are warriors. Still tubby, but her extra poundage saved her from internal damage 😆/🥹
P.S. At the center of the Paiute culture is Pyramid Lake. You can view the famous painting of this water body, called "Melody of a Wave," by Japanese American artist (and art faculty member at UC Berkeley) Chiura Obata at the #OaklandMuseumOfCalifornia

What’s known as Oakland’s Garage District evolved 25th Street from a row of horse stables to a post-industrial art boulevard. It’s also where #OaklandArtMurmur started 🌞
