Please excuse my occasional naïveté. I was raised Mormon in the late 1900s. cats, plants, books, all things horror, diy, stickers, crystals, & library lover 4ever | she/her | ExMo
Anthropic really needs to watch the “I, Robot...You, Jane” episode of Buffy to understand the true danger of scanning books into computers. I mean beyond the danger of being tarred and feathered by an angry mob of bibliophiles. #gileswasright
Finally discovered one thing that undeniably causes a flare & it’s 7 Brew lemonade. I’ll now have to survive this heatwave without my beloved lemonade (honestly it’s more like super sugary koolaid) and I’m seriously considering just not leaving the house again until it’s under 100 degrees.
My adopted son Milo is actually a twin, fraternal of course, so meet his sister Louise! (Seriously, this new silicon doll interest could get veeeeeery dangerous for my bank account and possibly my husband’s sanity.)
Every once in a while, I remember that we have this amazing art piece, a giant ring celebrating our city, just hanging out downtown for all visitors to see. And then I giggity a little.
My husband tried to go to the newly opened Ebisu store on a Saturday evening and lasted all of 2 minutes inside. 🤣
My adopted son Milo arrived today and in an act proving it’s good that I never had real children, I left him in the mailbox in 100+ heat for hours. #elfiedolls #TTmademedoit
Hey, so this fella and I are celebrating 28 years of marriage today. Dear god, we are ancient. 👴🏻👵🏻 Wouldn’t want to tackle this thing we call life with anyone else, of this I am sure. ❌⭕️❌⭕️
We’re all just rooting for Norway at this point, right? 🇳🇴⚽️ I mean, I don’t even watch sports and I’m even pulling for Norway.
The way to sign “what’s up” in ASL is fun, especially if you put a lot of attitude behind it, but just remember that the direction of the sign is up and not down. If you sign downwards, it means “naked”. And just so you know, if you make this mistake with a Deaf person, they will laugh at you.
Things I’ve been diagnosed with since 2022: Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, severe environmental allergies, insulin resistance, end stage OA in hip, SI joint dysfunction, Lipedema, hyper-mobility, ADHD, bardet-biedl type 20, intracranial hypertension, tegmen defect with CSF leak and encephaloceles.
My husband doesn’t want me to get a reborn doll because he finds them creepy and is also afraid I’ll start taking it everywhere like a real baby (valid concern b/c I have no chill), so I found a compromise and he somehow finds Elfie Dolls just as objectionable. 🤷🏻♀️
No, y’all, I swear it’s a fascia massager. 🫤 Seriously, though, did no one consider the optics when they designed this because I feel compelled to hide it in the forbidden nightstand drawer with the rest of the, um, massagers.
Ten months of hair regrowth has yielded an awesome sideburn, possibly reaching muttenchop territory.
Taking some time today to celebrate and mourn ASH with some of my favorite Giles-centered BtVS episodes. 📺 💔 🪦
Pickles is shocked that it’s already mowing season again. It’s his least favorite chore. 🐱🐈🐈⬛
My husband doesn’t appreciate how I stack things. He seems to think my stacks are precariously built, but I have complete faith in my doom pile abilities.
I’m positive I must’ve known this at some point & just forgot, but today I (re)learned that the youngest singer on Kids Incorporated, the girl with great pipes & side ponytail whom little me desperately wanted to be, was Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas. Who knew? Likely everyone, but still….
My husband’s “artwork”. The top is me drawn like one of his French girls. I especially appreciate the overbite and pancake boobs. And the bottom one is his penis running away because he’s mad, though I can’t recall why. Anyway, the talent is strong with this one!
Still doing my Little Free Library project where I stock LFLs in my deep red state with banned books and endangered subjects along with slightly covert antifascism works. Gives me a tiny thrill every time I place one of my books in a library full of religious tracts.
As household that already struggles with handling their own mounds of paperwork, having an irresponsible family member thrust a box of paperwork at us with the expectation that the hubs and I will fix their life for them is just, ummmmmm, a little overwhelming.
This time last year I woke up in a mental ward after being committed due to a manic episode caused by my brain issues. At the time they didn’t know the cause was physiological & put me on an antipsychotic that fucked up my world even further. Anyway, here’s my intake photo…happy anniversary to me?
Found a trinket trading box in our area! I was beginning to think they only existed on the west coast.
Want to smoke my mind into quiet oblivion in the dark solitude of my own backyard, but my neighbors light theirs up like a used car lot every damn night.
