Today… Got my daughter finally referred to CAMHS, got a mental health nurse appointment and my own GP appointment, everything feels kinda under control and then … This is my mum’s windscreen. I think she’s okay but she’s in hospital now.

Had to run through a river up to my thighs. My feet are still soaked through. But my neighbour carried me through the first 5k before splitting off to do an extra five miles 🤷♀️
Whenever I drive on roads like this I always imagine Americans would be horrified. Especially when the speed limit is 60 and you drive a stick shift 😅
Endings are heavy on my mind today. I wrote this when my son was an infant. Parenting and endings are similar - trying to bear in mind that what you have/had was always meant to be temporary. Watching someone move on (to good things!) after years of work together is both beautiful and hard.
