Something about this one kept irking me that I couldn't quite place until this morning - it looks like the character design was a pretty damn close copy or ripoff of a Clickyclaws from Ooblets.
Physical read: Mother Earth is Our Elder: Indigenous Solutions to the Climate Crisis by Katlia Lafferty Audiobook: White Malice: The CIA and the Covert Recolonization of Africa Susan Williams
Sometimes I feel bad when I DNF a book but my God my TBR list is so long I cannot fathom spending that valuable and limited time on shit like this.
QRP with your yellow art For sure one of my faves I've ever made #mixedmedia #collage #art
I'm also tracing over some of my reference photos to make this into something physical, thanks to the magic of carbon paper. But I'm not sure yet if it will be collage, watercolor, gouache, a mix of a few or all? It sort of feels like cheating but they're my own damn photos so 🤷🏼♀️
It might be because I ended up using different colors from my digital sketch. Idk yet. A little frustrating.
This one has been "finished" for about two weeks now I say "finished" because it feels incomplete, but I haven't figured out what the missing piece is. So I'm calling it done for now and I'll keep walking by it and pondering.
This one is nearly indiscernible from some of the art and poetry books I've been picking up at the library. It's oddly captivating.
"You do not have to be anything better But, my darlin', you cannot live like this forever Like wild geese flying toward something You do not have to do good But you cannot do nothing"
I unironically quote this every time I pull a can of beans out of the pantry.
Still cooking in it today, noodled around with random magazine cutouts and random stuff from around my desk. I like the freaky little books with legs best.
Alright, first artwork in the paper bag book is an attempt at a Chinook salmon.
Needed to do something with my hands, so I grabbed one of the crafts off of my "someday" pile and made this paper bag book. It was very simple and I'm hoping this will remove the barrier of using my "nice" paper to sketch or doodle or whatever.
Made this in my small crafting group a few weeks back Not sure if it's finished or not yet Made with all upcycled and found papers, only "new" thing was the blue background that I found at the thrift store. #mixedmedia #collage #papercraft #art
Digital sketch that I kinda want to make into a physical artwork What if the moon and sun were In Love
