Today, she's blindfolded, beaming at the camera as she correctly guesses every flavour of boba pearl. It's bewitching. I watch her popping the pearls against her upper teeth, crushing them with her tongue. Then, a customer interrupts the shot, and that fake smile from earlier returns — just for a second — before the shot cuts.

Then it loops, and then she's back to beaming at me again, pierced tongue out as the pearl is placed. Popping it. Fake smile.
