I can do that for them. She voted to memorialize Kirk, she endorsed Mike Bloomberg for president, she voted yes on data center tax breaks until 2050 and she was “impressed” with ICE facilities because of female leadership. She won’t stand up to Trump, guaranteed.
Glad to be in southwest Michigan, but also suffering from the smoke. So glad I found some leftover N95s in the closet. Was still awful.
My sweet 19 year old boy was diagnosed with kidney disease. I hate it. It sucks even more knowing he’s in pain and I can’t do anything. We can’t even afford the prescription food for him.
Little guy is doing so much better, he’s even got his left eye open now. Swelling went down. He’s using the litter box too which is shocking for 7 weeks old. We have a follow up vet appointment next week for additional checkups.
Driving on the highway and found a kitten. I hit the brakes and did my fastest 100 meter dash. Spicy guy got me good, but we got him to the vet. Laceration on his mouth and swelling around his eye. Vet did what they could today, but he’s got a checkup in a week. We’re foster parents now.
The excerpt on the DigitalFire site reads as if Plainsman Clay issued a takedown notice on DigitalFire, hence their IP claim. Tony, who runs DF, doesn’t know how to comply without shutting the entire site down due to its complexity.
If you ever wondered whether cane and reed is stronger than ceramic, here is the answer. I pulled off the ceramic handle strap while tightening the handle. It would have been a beautiful teapot if I remembered that I’m kind of strong.
Some impromptu photos while I’m at the rained out art fair. The lighting was quite nice, so I snapped a few shots of the tea cups that came out of a recent glaze firing. I used a texture rib to get the wave texture while it was still wet on the wheel.
Trimming a couple small cups. Playing with textures from a rib I picked up.
Got some wonderful results from my latest glaze firing. I’ll be posting them over time, I’ll start with my sea urchin succulent pots. They didn’t always look like this. I use to do two rows of dots around rim, but since folks kept saying like looked like sea urchins, I leaned into that.
I know these will look fantastic when they’re fired, but I still hate glazing. I have even more to do tomorrow. It will probably take up the entire kiln. Then I have to grind shelves. The work never ends!
Getting some last minute work done before my first sale of the year. Might be the exhaustion, but I often feel like the art I make is not meaningful enough. I see the awful stuff happening and want to make work that moves the soul, but I have no worthy ideas.
Finishing up this round of sea urchin succulent pots. A little more than a dozen with black dots, going to do another batch with white dots.
The crime and the culprit. He has already been forgiven, he has one brain cell after all.
Having a cat in the studio is one of the few things that lowers my blood pressure during the current times.
One of three teapots I’m working on. Nearly forgot how to attach a spout.
We had a couple days of nice, warm weather and the winter crocuses bloomed in our yard. Unfortunately, they came up too early and chill of winter has returned. I enjoy seeing them every year, shakes me out of my seasonal depression.
Decorated, trimmed, stamped and ready for bisque. I enjoyed making these necked bottle vases.
Couple of vases. I’ve been practicing throwing longer necks and trying to get a nice silhouette. Hoping I’ll have time tomorrow to make some teapots.
Some gorgeous results from my last class and this was their first time on the wheel.
Been practicing with 5 pound wads of clay lately. I struggled with making larger pieces, but practicing is paying off. The serving bowl is a little over 11” diameter and the vases are around 9” each. The pitcher is for comparison, I use 3 pounds of clay for those.
I noticed this fed was the first to pull his weapon after seeing the other fed take the victims weapon and fired the first shot. Video shows him moving around the side while firing more shots.
My design doesn’t change much from most of the bat systems already sold, but they’re all mostly compressed wood and warp easily. The one I print won’t warp and I won’t have to order more inserts, I can just print more when I need them.
This is high off my own farts intellectualism shit. By definition, bigotry only applies to people. For a mod to state this while they let transphobic people and transphobia run absolutely rampant on this site is fucking absurd. Won’t do anything about actual bigotry, gotta make up fake bigotry.
