omg you hit all my bullet points, thanks so much for being observant. I purposefully included my repeats, because you can see the change in the moulds over time. The ones in/out of packet are for display reasons - I like to give them context. The plesiosaur is a Topps 1988 piece. Also disclaimer:

The joke here is that everyone is concerned for my wellbeing because I watch the same episode of the Simpsons over and over again when I am stressed.

Homer's hand tells him what to say in S05E09 of the Simpsons. In this clumsy yet endearing edit, it tells him to say Mindy has a Motorcycle.

When Homer asks if there's any way out of it, the announcer replies "No." curtly and angrily. The message is delivered with some subtext - the announcer implies the prize is an obligation, and not an enjoyable, optional experience that Homer should want.

I'm not too keen on the sharpening artefacts, but when you see detailed establishing shots like this it's hard not to admire the higher quality version.

So far the only discrepancy has been a slightly longer pause for the ad break, and the higher quality one seems to have a slight crop on top and bottom. However, the new one doesn't have any interlacing issues which is making the animation SNAP. The linework improvement is noticable on detail scenes

Sometimes when you've had a tough day you have to check your rips of the Simpsons by watching the Mindy Episode side by side in different qualities. Below is the newest copy in 1080p, but the 360p copy still has a place in my heart.

Have you ever thought: "Wow Polyducks, you're so cool and interesting. How are you making these Simpsons memes on your decade-old iphone at 4am?" Well, wonder no longer. The answer is "painfully and with lots of hacks".

I paint around the element I want to isolate in image edit mode. In this case, Mindy's head. Then I screenshot this to "flatten" it.

Then I drag the isolated element down into stickers. I think this is an iphone thing where it makes a transparent png. Notice I have to flip the image in advance because the drawing app freeform won't let me flip stickers.

I can rotate and crop images in order to reuse textures. This is me making text using the long section of the L. I paint out the things I want to replace with stickers etc. This app is called freeform.

Finally, an hour later, my obscure meme combines the clown college episode with the Mindy episode to entertain three people for a confused 4 seconds.

I made a page template today so I could collect jpegs in an album on my website. I scanned in a vinyl pouch, then used it as a mask for itself to make it transparent. Now I have a png and some slots to place items into. It just needs a bit of JS magic.

Haha I had to do a seven hour train journey twice this weekend. When I get stressed I watch comfort media, and S05e09 is my comfort episode. I often stream Simpsons for my friends and they complain when I put it on. It's a mix of those things, and I made most of these memes on the train.

Stu Pickles, who is ostensibly making chocolate pudding at 4am, is actually constructing Mindy memes because he's lost all control of his life.

The "sickos" meme but all the characters have been edited to be bored and watching The Simpsons S05E09 (the Mindy episode). I am in the window completing the quote on the tv and one of the people says "if you're going to make us watch it, you can't quote it" which is frankly unfair and damaging to my mental health, how else are they meant to know how many times I've watched it?
