Postal Apocalypse
@postal-apocaypse
A grown (mail) man, who still loves the stuff he loved as a little boy. Comics video/tabletop games get better with age, like fine nerdy wine. Workers solidarity forever!
Well well well. Look what my local postman left for me when I got home. PDFs are well and good, but I have absolutely loved perusing tabletop RPG books 📚 since I was a little kid in my local Portland Library. (Shout out to Multnomah County Library for my lifetime love of these games)
Finished up Widows Bay. I really loved it. A super mash up of horror with a hint of comedy. Sad that there is no more of this spooky island to watch.
Hard to believe that it’s been 13 years since we welcomed this little girl into our lives. Happy gotcha day to her. (Since she was a rescue, we don’t know her actual birthday. So we celebrate Gotcha Day instead) Our family has been so much better with her in it.
Happy Father’s Day. Got to spend mine in the perfect way. TTRPGs going late into Saturday night. And then Sunday morning. Got to get my players up to 9th level and got my first level players some plague from some plague rats. 🐀 Pretty good times were had by all.
I really don’t think he understands how unbelievably cute he is. But this little guy is boundless optimism given a furry little form.
Something BIG showed up. @paizo.com your pathfinder quest box 📦 is an absolute unit. I think I have our solution to one player not being able to show up to the pathfinder game. Very excited to play with this.
My Pathfinder 2e game today included not just one but two chimeras for my players to “enjoy”.
My party faced off against a creature straight out of my wife’s youth tonight. Or anyone from northern Wisconsin. A Hodag. Weird cryptozoology creature. But an old TTRPG staple. My wife sent pictures back to family members in Wisconsin.
My dog Maxie has a way of making me feel like maybe life is ok. When the world gets me down. And everything seems to be falling apart. He just had this unrelenting optimistic happiness that is a little infectious. We don’t deserve dogs. They are just so great.
Got a visit from some familiar puppies today. Nice little canine interaction for your local mailman. My dogs got to see me out in the wild.
It’s a lot of work but it’s a neat way to do some good for our local food banks. So keep an eye out fr your local letter carrier and give a little bit this Saturday.
Sunday #pathfinder2e game continues with our age of ashes campaign. Party got to encounter their first golem. They got real creative. And crumbled this guy into rubble.
Spent the weekend at the wet Oregon coast warm and dry in a yurt. Dogs absolutely loved it.
Tomorrow morning my players finally get to the last of the dragon pillars in our age of ashes #pathfinder2e campaign. I’ve tried to make this encounter in a jungle ruins be as memorable as possible. One of my favorite parts about being the GM. #ttrpgs
These puppies really do love them a good dog park in the spring.
Project Hail Mary was absolutely delightful. As a fan of the book, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Andy Weir’s other book turned movie, the Martian
However it’s been a full 4 days of contract training. And it’s amazing getting to meet stewards from all over the state of Oregon.
NALC region 2, year 2 stewards college has been a great experience. And we can still have some fun together after a full days training. Evenings of Pathfinder and board games. Makes for a great steward training experience.
Seriously. This little guy is too much cute for one little puppy
This is going to be the hands down most difficult informal A grievance meeting I have ever done. Supervisor brought her new puppy in. Hard to argue with management when this little guy is desperately trying to love you.
You know. When you are carrying mail in a cold 🥶 brisk Pacific Northwest day, getting a message that your dogs are making the best of the weather and snuggling up in bed, is not the worst thing. They seem quite happy right now.
NALC Brothers and Sisters in the Rose City. Our contract rally is going to be this Sunday February 22nd at 11:00 am. At the East Portland Post office. Hope to see you all there.
