The MUCH BETTER team won! Spain completely outplayed Argentina. Fully deserved win for Spain, FIFA's 2026 World Champions! 🇪🇸
______________________________ Hagin does not name Branham explicitly, but Gordon Lindsay’s wife did in her published diary.
______________________________ The account concerns a famous prophecy Kenneth E. Hagin made about William Branham’s death.
______________________________ While researching the context of the New Order, I found an anecdotal account.
A section on the “Local Church Government” in the May 1, 1948 edition of the Sharon Star, where George Hawtin writes of denominations as “old bottles” (aka ‘old wineskins'). Reminds me of C. Peter Wagner, who wrote about denominations being “old wineskins” in his 2004 book, The Changing Church.
New England, 1748. Features of a meeting in the Separate Congregational movement: “The wonders to which he alluded included a battery of charismatic practices modeled on the earliest Christian churches and the extraordinary gifts of the Holy Spirit that were poured out on the day of Pentecost.”
Met today with a small group of scholars to discuss our current research on Spiritual Warfare; it was truly insightful. Participants: Leah Payne, Michael Heyes, Elizabeth McAlister, Karrie G. Hogewood, Abimbola Adelakun, Derrick Lemons, Zackari Bourgeois, Henri Gooren, Gustavo Fuchs.
Welcome to new followers! 🙏 For those interested in reading some of my work (in English and/or in French), here are the books I co-edited and wrote since 2020. For my other books prior to 2020, see the “My Books” section on my “Spirit, State, and Society” Substack page.
Finished classifying 84 issues of The Sharon Star (1947–1956), the official publication of the 1948 North Battleford revival, edited by George Hawtin. Next up: reading every issue to better understand the emergence of what has been called the New Order of the Latter Rain.
Mattisson Boze on Present Day Apostles in the July 1950 edition of the Herald of Faith. With A. W. Rasmussen, they both were promoting the revival of the NOLR, which led to a schism within the Independent Assemblies of God (IAG) in the 1950s.
An interesting statistic from the 2026 State of Theology in Canada (by LifeWay Research) highlights a case that challenges the notion that the "Evangelical" identity can be defined solely by theological criteria.
Here’s a slightly updated version of some brief thoughts on “evangelicalism.”
Quality control completed by Socrates! My new book, arrived from overseas, has received his official seal of approval. Many thanks to my publisher, Labor et Fides, for their generosity!

I’m considering whether to have my new book translated. If I move forward, I’d likely pursue German and/or Spanish editions.
