Main Street, Disneyland USA, during the finale of Disney's Celebrate America fireworks on July 3. Happy 4th of July, everyone.
Disneyland was filming the 250th fireworks tonight for tomorrow night's America 250 broadcast on ABC.
Disney/ ABC is livestreaming the SF Pride Parade (and the NYC Pride March) on Disney+ and YouTube today. Disney CMs representing. #WeAreTheMagic Our daughter is also marching in SF Pride, and we couldn't be prouder! (Pride-er?)
The Obama Presidential Center's Sky Room features a quote from President Obama's speech at the 50th anniversary of the Selma March, cast in concrete. This feature echoes the 1964 World's Fair Illinois Pavilion honoring Abraham Lincoln, another son of Illinois. Lincoln's words adorned the entrance.
SFC x D23 events are legit. We just saw Muppet Treasure Island 30th Anniversary.
Repping the deleted "reverence for the law" paragraph...
Disneyland is definitely producing activities for kids again. The "Mickey's Park Rangers" workbook from Rivers of America is really well done. Lots of activities that are Cub Scout- level. Reminds me of the Wilderness Explorer badge from Animal Kingdom.
BREAKING: HALYX will not be appearing at the Great American State Fair.
Thirty years after seeing Disneyland attraction posters for sale at the Disneyana Convention, Mindy spotted these at an estate auction in the South Bay.
Tourists in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, gather to take photos of the Shohei Ohtani mural on the side of the Miyako Hotel.
Honestly, THIS is the only thing we come to Food & Wine for anymore...
Jefferson Davis' legacy: paintbombed and torn down.
Here's what's left of the Robert E. Lee statue in Charlottesville: slag, rubble, and bronze ingots stamped with "swords into plowshares." (Pix mine, from the Monuments exhibition in Los Angeles. )
Live entertainment. All Boysenberry, no Bluey. #BirdCageTheater #Knotts
"Hold my boysenberry beer!" - Knott's Berry Farm Eight (8) live performances scheduled across the park...
From the artist signings at Disney California Adventure Food and Wine 2026: Signings only in DCA, no more mornings at Wonderground; CMs telling folks the artists can only sign the new pieces (the artists don't agree); 3-5 artists crammed into Off The Page for 3 hours only. Result is huge lines.
Nothing like finding a treasure online for a good deal. My best book find so far is the hardcover book of the Indianapolis Museum Snow White exhibition, signed by a few animators...
We were happy to catch up with Ashley Taylor & Ann Shen, 2 of our favorite Wonderground artists, at Off The Page today. Turns out Ashley started at Disneyland as a Jungle Cruise skipper. I asked for her best skipper joke: "Up ahead we have the Britney tribe. And now they're throwing Britney spears!"
Whoever at Disneyland thought they could make an After Dark photo op simply by borrowing some DLRR lanterns and posting a photographer outside the Haunted Mansion...was right!
Got a better picture when they dimmed the lights for Wondrous Journeys!
My favorite parade! #DisneylandAfterDark 70th Nite.
In the spirit of "Stop Hate": the climax of Fantasmic. Love & imagination triumph over hate, signified by Tinkerbell calling forth the Mark Twain piloted by Steamboat Mickey, full of our favorite characters in celebration. Maybe Tink AND Figment could both lead in a bit of bicoastal collaboration
