Saw Supergirl- p good, a little bleak and some stuff felt very undercooked, but I enjoyed it nonetheless

I made a new post on Patreon with a build of my proof-of-concept/prototype Shield Maiden over on Patreon for all pog+ tiers, and I'm also trying out per-post backing for non-Patrons. Anyone can read the whole post, but build is locked to Patrons/supporters! Link in the replies
I like that people try to recontextualize the first 3 Toy Story movies by saying they're about "growing up" when uhhhh I'm p sure that's just the 3rd one lol The first one is about toys working together, the 2nd is about weird greasy collectors not playing with toys, and the 3rd is about growing up.
Still a WIP so the shanty is a bit vacant at the moment, but I'm really pleased that my layer-based lighting system works for this. Final result will only darken the room at night. (Game is The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest)
That "certain group of people on the internet" when God of War Laufey was announced
Thankfully, the game has way more New Game+ modes than I will probably have the luxury of playing, but they're a bit more than that. Each time you beat a NG+, you get a different kind of NG+. Some are randomized, some are mirrored, some you lose your equipment, etc etc.
The game rewards allowing you to just figure things out and experiment, but never restricts your ability to progress. For example, look at the pit in this video. The way I got across this gap is just one of a BUNCH of ways to do it, and that's just neat.
figure out what trinkets (or ability modifiers/equipment) are best for your playstyle. For example- you have some that let you move faster, some that let you walk on pits, some that let you get bullet time, etc etc. Everything clicks at this point and the game becomes great.
find that as you're exploring you are almost always funneled into where you want to go, and when you eventually buy the map for your little checkpoint hideout thing you can plan things out better. The game starts becoming very fun when you get your stats higher than 5 and you
generators/dungeons in any order. This coupled with the fact that there is an impressively large number of daffy lads you meet in the world that need help only to turn into some freak that gives you a colon cleanse. But-
It took me a while to realize entering an area and getting a short cutscene is how you know you're in a "dungeon", or "Spark Generator" region, and I mostly didn't think anything about that because one plays when you enter the main town of Ossex proper.
I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT MINA THE HOLLOWER. This is gonna be a lengthy 🧵 and may contain spoilers, though I'll try to keep it spoiler free. Right out the gate, I want to say I highly recommend this game. I did a 100% playthrough, which is rare for me. It's probably 8.5/10
I got a SHITLOAD of puscifer stuff tonight lol way more than I expected.
