I've been to some freaky assed places in my time, but this was right up there. Just incredible.
Bit of a jungle walk today. Saw a bird that you won't find anywhere else in the world, which is a bit marvellous. And a volcano across the bay. It's a bit different to Bewdley.
Well, this is quite something. Love places with a sense of place. If that makes sense.
And that's me done. What a year. I'd say something but I'm two beers in. Happy holidays to all you that have broken up. To those that haven't, tough, you'll be laughing later in the year. Happy days, beautiful people...
We have to do new safeguarding pictures for the school. When I got mine, I asked them (jokingly) to improve it for me. This is what they sent.
Not a soul. People think walking gives you time to think, but I value the opposite. I don't have to think, I just look at the things around me. Interestingly, some issues start to solve themselves. Something to do with freeing your subconscious, I'm guessing...
I don't know what's come over me, but I got up early today, watched the NZ Warriors with Ruud and then went for a walk. I might actually be getting better...
I do love an abbey I've never been to before. So quiet and magical here, I could almost hear the monks chanting...
Managed to avoid the rain for one last (slightly breezy) jaunt up on to the moor. Home tomorrow and return to the madness that is primary school education right now. But hey ho, we go again...
Last four, I promise. Besides, the weather is going downhill tomorrow and we'll be back in the grind before you know it. Enjoy the day, people.
Yorkshire. I'd tell you all to get up here and take a walk, but you're probably sick of hearing me say it.
That's the top there. Walked 3 mikes down the valley from the bottom, then a sharp right up (knackered) and then along to the top. Very nice...
I'm much slower than I used to be, and it hurts much more than it used to be, but goodness me it is worth it.
I must have said this a hundred times, but for the good of your soul, perspective, mental health and awareness, get yourself out for a walk. Haven't seen a soul in hours and it's marvellous.
