Stumbled on this highlighted text from the last time I read The Strain. I must have thought it particularly profound.
I had foolishly written off Alina of the Arena a while back because I found it way too difficult but I revisited it recently, dug in more, and found a really fun deckbuilder where positioning, both yourself and your enemies, is critical. Having an incredible run as a Hunter right now.

I'm rewatching the first season of Jojo and it's really sinking in this time that Jojo learned secret martial arts techniques from a guy who looked like a carnival sideshow barker.
