Memories of a happier time when puppy Maia liked to wade on the beach before her best pal did his ACL in. Lycan loved the water. Maia preferred chasing him on the beach. She was the boss even though she was the puppy. One day when the heartache has eased I'll find another malamute to boss me around.
I am no longer owned by a malamute. Today we took her to the vets as she was incapable of standing. Canine degenerative myelopathy had finally beaten my beautiful girl. She died peacefully, quickly & painlessly in my arms. I am destroyed. Hug your furry friends. They leave too soon.

I've decided to join the Green Party - energetic, hopeful & fighting for the little guy in the face of corporate greed. I like how they actively fight against the right wing talking points re immigration, social security etc.
