When you definitely represent the true faith and God’s will in the world…
This weekend, we’ve given her all the dog treats, peanut butter, and bacon she’s ever dreamed of. We took her on a walk to the park, but she only made it a few houses down before she wanted to turn around. That’s never happened before.
The thing is, when we got Maggie, we were told she would probably live to 7 or 9 years. Apparently that is the typical range for Pyradors. And the older a dog gets, the worse their bodies perform.
Maggie also loved books. She devoured the works of Brandon Sanderson. She also once chewed up a brand new pair of glasses.
Maggie is the smartest dog I’ve ever met. She picked up on words and patterns so quickly, it was honestly unnerving. I could ask her “Where’s Mom?” and she would go find her anywhere in the home or wherever we were.
Maggie, like other Pyradors, does best with a job. Her job was to patrol. At all times of day or night, she would go around the apartment or house or yard and make sure nothing was there without her approval. I would take her on walks around the complex or campus to tire her out.
We got Maggie in March 2013, just a couple months before I graduated from law school. She was just 10 weeks old. She was very fluffy.
Hi all. Tomorrow I have to put my dog to sleep. She’s had a long, happy, 13-year life and it just absolutely sucks. This is Maggie. She’s a Pyrador (half Pyrenees and half Labrador)
Insane hail storm down in Pearland just now. Came down all at once. I thought my windows were going to shatter.
No cheating, your last saved pic of a celebrity is your therapist. I could do a lot worse.
