Today is my last day of work before vacation. Yesterday I found a forever home for my remaining fosters and they leave today. Together. A great day. A tough day. So happy I could place them together in a loving family home. #fosterkitten #fostercat
On Saturday I’m going on vacation with my family and my cat sitter for my #fostercats cancelled. Now I have to see if I can find new family/families for them this week. They are from Lund Kattehjem near Horsens, Denmark if you are interested.
My #fosterkitten Hugo misses his siblings and his mom is trying to tell him that he is too old for breastfeeding, so he is a bit down today. He just hangs out around me and I don’t mind.
Saying goodbye to these cuddle bugs. Wednesday they will move out to their new family and I will be at work most of the time before then. This is the hard part of fostering. #fosterkittens
My neighbor disturbed my afternoon nap with building noise, but then I got to watch these two.
It is hot, so I gave the foster kittens their own water feature/reflecting pool in the living room. They love it. Play with it and drink from it. Hopefully I can keep the algae out.
This is the view from the balcony of the apartment I’m trying to rent in Aarhus. I really hope the contract goes through today. The building is ugly but you don’t see it when you are inside it :)
Det håber jeg også. Hun er en smuk kat. Lidt tynd da vi fik hende, men det arbejder vi på.
My foster kittens are 9 weeks old now and pretty amazing. #caturday #lørdagskilling
I went to LEGOLAND yesterday with my family, and today I ache in places I haven’t felt in years. I feel like I have run a marathon - getting old sucks.
De er de sjoveste må energibomber indtil de går helt døde. Så er de de mest nuttede syvsovere.
Yes, I was woken up at 5 by the new foster kittens. I am experienced enough to know that you shouldn’t feed them early in the morning (or they will keep waking you up early), so I just kept them company for a bit, and then went back to bed.
New foster kittens 🚨. Mom and 3 kittens moved in last night. Very thin and a bit dehydrated.
Today my foster kitten Elsa is moving out. I will miss her so much. She is the most loving kitten we have fostered and sometimes she just tries to melt into me. She even follows me into the shower. This is the most difficult part of fostering, but I have loved every moment with her.
Det er desværre ikke et Klimt, men et nyere fotografi, som jeg ikke må bruge. Jeg kan lave denne Klimt i stedet? upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co... Eller et af de de to andre fotografier?
Yesterday my mother and stepdad moved from the house they have lived in for 25 years. It looked so beautiful in the sun.
Spent my evening in great company with other passionate people thinking about how we can attract new people to our village. We have so much to offer in a village with just 1200 people. Nature nearby, all the activities you can handle and cheap housing (near “big” cities).
This is a cat checkpoint. Relinquish your most recent cat picture from your phone right meow!
Hmmm. What is happening here, Caravaggio? Love the wacky perspective. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co...
One of the fun things to do is to play with friends. Collaborative jigsaw puzzling.
I'm trying to visualize AI in software development. Sometimes it’s fun to turn cautionary tales into "monsters" - it’s an effective way to remember good (and bad) practices. The Permission Pest fits this story very well: youtu.be/gqJBS3YD7CE?...
Found a brochure for a motorcycle in our local archive, which a local dealer had once kept. It was found together with a letter to the same dealer from “Fyens Cykle-Depot” dated 1923.
Claude meetup tonight at Bankdata in Aarhus. 500 signups but they only found room for 350 people.
A customer was noise polluting the whole cafe with a phone call on speaker and _I_ got her to stop by asking. #proud #todayswin Now back to my book. #fightenshittification
A very early picture of my house - taken ~100 years ago. I grew up partly in the house at the back (my father's house) and I now live in the house at the front. Both were built by my great grandfather, who used one for his residence and the other for his business.
"Maybe", our foster kitten, moved out on Wednesday and I miss her so. She came to us back in November. Got a family in January and then moved back in February. We spoilt her and she got a bit big. "A robust girl" is what they called her at the shelter.
My husband started a new assignment with LEGO, so I got an new cat.
