Not a real hatrack
Both of these dahlias told me they are Spartacus, but I think the little guy might be lying. 🌱
And the harvest. This was my crop of garlic so far (3 years). Putting them under a thick layer of mulch seems to have really helped. Also, it wasn't a planned experiment, but the ones planted the deepest did best of all.🌱
This is what happens when you leave the seed heads on your rudbeckia for the birds over winter. This doesn't include the couple dozen I transplanted elsewhere, the couple dozen I composted, nor the countless babies I pulled out of the gravel path.🌱
Red currant harvest! 🌱 We waited too long last year to put the nets up and the birds ate everything. I just got them cleaned up and drying in a mesh basket, but I'd guess we got about pint, maybe 3 cups.
Here are some views of the cottage garden and a close up of the vetch. It's really pretty although I don't really need more purple in the yard.🌱
The weather has been glorious here lately with good rain a couple times a week so the garden is doing really well and I've gotten lots done.🌱 The veronica came with the house, the vetch blew in from somewhere. I bought the butterfly weed from Prairie Nursery. Everybody else was grown from seed.
Anybody want to try out my escape room? It's a rather twisted plot.🌱
More irises coming around and check out this Leningrad garlic!🌱 The pot there is about a foot high for scale.
Also, Mary Todd looking fabulous and a spicy treat for the squirrels.🌱
Finished potting up the dahlias today and I'm done for the week in the garden. Got some nice pics of other stuff that's currently blooming.🌱
I'm not sure if they think this will make your fish grow faster or if it's a threat they better not die.🌱
