folded another 250 zines with friends at tonight’s @bkindivisible.bsky.social general meeting #HandsOffOurVote #HandsOffNYC
the work of about an hour, with some help from the 14yo, for local distribution #HandsOffNYC #HandsOffOurVote
following the boys to the second of two graduations this week, on Thursday 💕👨🏻🎓🧑🏻🎓💕
after graduation—the first of two this week yet another photo of those two boys of mine, walking in front of me, talking about whatever it is they talk about with each other
Why yes I do organize my voting plan around the availability of excellent stickers! 🤩 Vote today & get your sticker before they’re gone!
from Prospect Park to Coney Island! 🏃🏻♀️ #BrooklynHalf was questioning life decisions in the last 6K+ but finished strong
though it’s been lovely to have the Brooklyn Bridge as the backdrop for my annual photo of my Brooklyn Half bib, pickup at Prospect Park is sooo much better
giving it another go, finding it much more enjoyable now that I know what to expect
spring in the air, felt those I LOVE NEW YAAAWK feelings going over the Manhattan Bridge this morning my love extending to all you April Fools as well as this rusty diamond plated step I set my coffee cup on while adjusting my headphones on my way to the library
some views from the back of the butterfly garden made by Brooklyn Resisters & @bkindivisible.bsky.social #NoKingsNYC
at #NoKingsNYC on Saturday afternoon nearly a year since I got my foam Lady Liberty crown for Hands Off NYC
fleurs seen on my Friday afternoon run chose my route so I could check on the daffodils; the crocuses on the Parade Ground were a happy surprise purple crocuses + the ping of batting practice
report from my evening run, still there, in fact it looks like more dirt has been piled on top of one end of the heap of filth & old snow in other news, the first daffodils are blooming alongside Flatbush outside of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (no photo of that, though)
Prospect Park Lake during my run on Sunday vs. during my run today
snow, trees, the shadows of trees, seen on a 4-mile midmorning run on Friday 2/27, before heading upstate for a retreat
did it! ran an extra mile, in fact, realizing that a run tomorrow is unlikely & also just wanting to spend more time looking at the snowy woods in the park
anyway, a couple photos from few runs since snow got dumped on the city getting out for another one tomorrow, gotta somehow make it happen
This note I made to myself a week or so ago will remain forever inscrutable to me.
today, though a perfect day for a run, reminded me of the glory that will be spring!
just me, an old friend & several thousand New Yorkers out this afternoon to say No kings No war No ICE @bkindivisible.bsky.social
one more run in the last hours of the old year pale waxing moon, bright setting sun
here at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Bay Ridge, listening to the drums & folding zines #HandsOffNYC
vs. me in fall 2025, finding history a little too real, seeking the consolation (??!?) of philosophy instead …
