I usually keep curtains closed to keep heat out, but I opened them yesterday for Flower to supervise the workers. #Hedgewatch. They had to remove the oil pipes from below the window, so she watched them do that. Happy #friyay. #cats #CatsOfBluesky #gato

This is for @tweety6677.bsky.social The cat cam is typically points more towards the pet steps but last night it got moved. Jolene is the only one left who uses the vertical scratchers. She still has a cactus, but the tree you got us from the wish list when we moved is her favorite.

We had workers in the house today. Simon, true to form, hid upstairs. That bump in the bed under the warming mat next to Flower is Jolene. Flower was living her every day life. Workers (in the basement) be damned she still appeared in the kitchen for treats when she decided it was treat time.

I do so much driving to try to learn our new area since moving & find things I need (like dr offices). I did do a “fun drive” to find the largest loon in the Adirondacks because you know I’ve loved the peace of the quack - quack outside my tent when camping.

Has anyone put their lamb chops in the washing machine? If so, did you throw them in loose or put them in a pillow case? I throw Rooster & Ghost Bear (both beanie babies) in the washing machine loose with no problems. Unsure about the lamb chops.

This is my favorite part of the Adirondacks right here. 20+ summers in the same campsite - Wake up in the morning -quack - quack - unzip tent window & they would be standing there staring at you. Now we live up here, just outside the Adirondack Park.

Just a reminder you can go to shelterbeds.org and purchase kuranda beds from shelter wishlists that are sent right to the rescues directly. These beds & towers are also compliant with the new NYS animal hygiene laws. Avail for all USA rescue centers.
