Working on the full print cover for FALSE FLAG and this is one of those happy instances when the original stock image (view from one of the Gulf Islands in British Columbia, where the story is set) is the perfect size to wrap the spine and back.
You guys! This guy's bio says: "Activist, listener, traveller. Mostly retired tech person (ex-GOOG). Seattle. 🏳️🌈 I activate voters, so can you. " But he doesn't know how to listen or how voting works!
I know context is hard for some people, but please consider reading the actual thread you are replying to instead jumping in to explain why I'm wrong to have posted a reply.

A tale of two focaccias! Last night we gave our neighbor the focaccia on the right once it had cooled enough to deliver as thank you for the dragon fruit. He doesn't speak English and we don't speak Japanese but focaccia needs no translation.
Question for focaccia bakers! My kind farmer neighbor has again given us fresh dragon fruit from his garden 😍 and I was thinking I'd make him a focaccia as thank you. I want split the recipe in half. What is the best time in the process to do this? After 1st or 2nd rise? When it goes into the pan?
We enjoyed our last layer of frozen (emergency celebration) cake on the roof during sunset. We didn't have frosting so I improvised. Chocolate cake layered with peanut butter mixed with honey, sweet potato jam, frozen raspberries, another peanut butter/honey layer, topped with fresh whipping cream.
Cicadas competing with the wind for who can make the most noise.
We should have several more hours of this wind. (We're fine, just lost a few more facing bricks.) I hope Taiwan is ready.
Good morning! It remains very windy here with Typhoon Bavi moving through.
We're fine, but it is windy. I hope Taiwan is ready for Typhoon Bavi.
Bavi is a beast and I have a feeling tomorrow evening will be very windy if today's gusts are any indication. It will be a glancing blow for Okinawa, but direct hit for Taiwan and Japanese islands Ishigaki and Iriomote. Stay safe everyone.
LOL yes I do. Also, it's a post of yours that I shared when you posted it.
Super Typhoon Bavi is massive. It's supposed to lose a little steam as it hits Taiwan on Fri/Sat, but it's expected it will still be a "Very Strong Typhoon" with 145 mph winds.
OMG, just received this from an archaeologist I worked with in 1996. This is me doing a test pit survey in Centralia, WA right by I-5.
Now that the auction is over, I have a shop question - any chance you will be making and selling the focaccia ingredient reminder cards? Also wondering about adding a magnet or if they are 2-sided? I have magnet clips that I use to hang recipes from my range hood but those would be perfect too.
Ancient Aliens & other pseudoarchaeology TV shows/podcasts are not harmless entertainment. The purpose is to separate Indigenous people from their cultural history to support white supremacy. We need our own art & entertainment to combat disinformation pseudoscience, which is why I wrote FALSE FLAG.
Super Typhoon Bavi This is not coming for us but it looks bad for Ishigaki Island, Taiwan, and the area around Wenzhou on the southeast coast of China. I'm glad they all have days to prepare.
Lotus flowers from yesterday's visit to the Southeast Botanical Garden.
OMG. I'm so thrilled to see this. Really incredibly proud to see my daughter's listing here. 😍
Unrelated but hilarious: these 2 birds did their own thing during their big performance at the botanical garden. They flew in circles, having a grand time ignoring the trainer's calls for them to return for *at least* five minutes! They circled together side by side and appeared to be very happy.
So close! Whose bid will put the @romancingthevote.com auction over $175k??
I go out for a few hours to pet capybara and goats and look at lotus flowers and come back to see I've been outbid at @romancingthevote.com?! How dare! The lotus flowers have strengthened my resolve to bid like I've never bid before, and the goats are on my side. (Capybara remain indifferent.)
Returned to the botanical garden to see if the lotus flowers are in bloom. 🪷
Wondering how much tea the Okinawan teapot in the @romancingthevote.com auction will hold? I filled the pot to the maximum level before water spilled from the spout. Max volume is approximately 825ml / 28oz www.32auctions.com/organization...
