Who cleans up the mess? The Sorcerer. The one who learned the skills necessary to actually do the tasks in the first place. Whereas first likely written as a cautionary tale against running before you can walk, it fits perfectly as a warning about AI in the modern world. Thanks, Ted talk etc.
The problem becomes legion. It grows exponentially, getting to be more and more of a problem, and before Mickey knows it, it's inescapable, it's out of control, it's everywhere, and he's fucking drowning.
At first it's great - it's no big deal, right? That power is seductive. It's easy. Mickey can sit back and relax, but before long he sees an issue: If he can't control the magic, it will run amock.
Mickey steals the means of using magic without learning the skills required for it. He then sees it as an efficiency tool, and outsources his job to a soulless 'machine'.
Question for PC people who know what all these words mean. Would the new Steam Machine run the upcoming Tomb Raider?
