I used to make those crackers every week since I was feeding the starter constantly. It's been awhile since I made them, but I apparently still have the recipe memorized! Here's my scone attempt.

Well, okay, I'll play. Mine is a doozy. And, yes, I am THAT old. Without stating your age, post your favorite film released the year you turned 18. Also, I've not only seen those stairs (you know which ones I mean) in Georgetown (in DC) but walked up them. At night. In the dark.

Woke up to this (about 6 hours ago) and it's still coming down. Looks like about 5.5 inches so far. We could have used this when it was actually winter! Better late than never, I guess.

Thinking today about Katherine Switzer who ran the Boston Marathon in 1967 when women were banned from the race. The race director tried to forcibly remove her but didn't succeed. "Get out of my race," he said. I have never understood his anger - what exactly was he afraid of?

This is us at Earthset yesterday...a photo taken by the Artemis II crew as the Earth set behind the moon. Compare all that insanity and horror you're reading about in the news today to this grandeur. No comparison, in my opinion.

This is the other thing going on in DC right now...

My running friends are taking turns doing this route in Aurora...it's a bit far for me to run (8+ miles!), but I can, at least, post their Strava map.

And, just to help other authors, here's more details about the scam: they said my recently-published e-book had been shortlisted for a book of the month pick by NoNameBooks.com which IS a legitimate organization - but the person who emailed me is probably not part of it.

I did this yesterday. After being in PT since April, it was definitely a challenge. About half of it was walking, so don't take the pace too seriously. This was at the Star K Ranch in Aurora, Colorado (yes, *that* Aurora) - a gorgeous place for a race. #running

Finished my step challenge for August with 7 hours to spare! And what did I immediately do? Yes: signed up for another one in September. The problem is there is one less day next month, so I'm going to have to stay on top of my step count a little better this time.

I logged a lot of steps today between my run, warm-up & cool-down walks, and just general walking around the house. Aiming for a Garmin badge of 300,000 steps in July, which means I have to do about the same tomorrow. If I'd kept my tracker on more often, I bet I'd see I've already reached 300K!

Ugh. Just got this email from Medicare with advice from a "doctor" who really should not be allowed to practice. This is worse than the social security email of a few weeks ago since this guy gives medical "advice" that is dangerous. Exactly what you'd expect from this administration, though.

I started mine today. Someone gave me this fancy notebook as a gift and I've never felt comfortable putting my own little words in it...but Jane Kenyon's (Let Evening Come) will do just fine.
