My frustrations aside with how people have been misleading others with these incorrect headlines, for posterity, here is the rest of the context.

Posted in the #SPT-Announcements channel of the SPT Pub discord, by staff member RaiRaiTheRaichu (that would be me):

Extremely brief tl;dr because maybe it’s not clear enough.

Everyone knows I don’t like sanitized corpo-speak, so I’ll summarize some of the important points that I see people asking or misunderstanding.

- SPT 4.1 (released today) has always been the intended last version of SPT _from us_, as you can see from the announcements made when EFT 1.0 was released

- This Discord server does not have any plans for any immediate shutdown

- The Forge website does not _host_ the mods, it contains links to people’s released mods on github, google drive, etc. Those can always be preserved and whether the website would stay or not, what’s currently there is not “lost forever”

- BSG did not come after SPT as a codebase, it is strictly referring to the usage of their copyright in the domain name/throughout the website

- It is not as simple as “just rehost it”/“just change the name”, also not as simple as “give the website to someone else” - partly because why the heck are we going to hand over your passwords, DMs, emails, etc to anybody

- SPT isn’t “going” anywhere; 4.1 (and all previous versions) are there on the github repository, openly, just like it always was. Manual installations will always be possible, just keep your client backed up for safe keeping

- We want others to continue the project, believe it or not, hence why everything needed to build SPT is completely open and available. It’s open-source; fork it or whatever and keep building on top of it, change it, rename it, whatever. That’s always been the case

- “Leaks” are not the reason why SPT is not continuing development, “leaks” are why the Github organization is not being directly passed on to anyone

I decided to really burn off the mood by playing bass guitar today until my fingers literally couldn't take it anymore. Apparently that means I set new records on some of the most difficult songs I've learned. Note detection at low tunings like this aren't great, so I'm never planning on 100% lol.

"Blunt damage" refers to damage taken from the bullet hitting my body armor, but still passing through a small amount of damage.

"collateral from ..." refers to damage transferred to the torso, by being shot in another body part that has already been "destroyed" (by that part taking too much damage).

“What are you most known for on the internet?” Getting assigned trans by google, apparently. I searched my username and decided to post it for this. (Also BB was not my mod, I rewrote it and added multiplayer sync to it, and Rarities is not a mod I have ever worked on at all LOL)

For awhile I wondered what I am, what categories suit me best, but I truly don’t think I can have a conclusion that’s satisfying. It’s all a sliding scale, and I’m always somewhere in between points A, B, and C. So when pressed, I’ll say “rabies pride” and let people decide what that means for me.

If you’re reading this, then hi. I’ll give you a secret: This is the closest thing under LGBTQA+ that I can say, “yeah, this represents me well.” So while it’s originally made for satire, this has unironically been my experience at times and it’s a label I’m okay with.

I don’t like to say it out loud, though. I’ll say “rabies pride” and inevitably I get a lot of negative responses from people who either don’t understand, think I’m joking, or find it offensive to them. So I’ve gone back into reclusion when it comes to pride posts in general.

But seeing so many pride posts, I get it. The point is to show everyone that there’s more of us than it may seem. That there’s someone out there that can relate, even if you haven’t spoken out about it. So if this makes you feel a little less lonely in this fucked up world, then I’m happy.

Escape From Tarkov
-A spot with a lot of contention, but going off of hours of my life taken up by playing, modding, and generally being in the community of, this makes sense to me for now.

Best Story:
Metal Gear Solid 2
-All of the series have amazing stories, but 2 strikes me the hardest.

Favorite Art Style:
Dicey Dungeons
-A lot of contention here, but the visuals and music and theme go together so well. I love it.

Biggest Personal Impact:
Fallout: New Vegas
-If Fallout 3 really amped up my modding journey, NV is what pushed me to learn more and more. Modeling, texturing, basics of animation. I have well over 4,000 combined hours of playing and modding it.

Best Combat:
7,62 High Calibre
-The “smart pause” system allows you to orchestrate your team’s firefight in a really slick way. It’s not perfect, and the game itself is rough in a lot of places, but the combat is just too unique to ignore.

Overhated:
Final Fantasy VIII (8)
-Out of the PSX trio, this one was always my favorite for its characters, their development, and for attempting something different with its RPG mechanics, even if not all of it landed.

Underrated:
Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain
-Diverged from the PSX games, but I like the direction it took for a spinoff.

Overrated:
Borderlands 2
-I don’t like Handsome Jack that much :/

Needs a Remake:
Resident Evil: Outbreak (File 1 and 2)

Criminally Overlooked:
Darkwood

As you can see, however, my luck with the forestry events has been pretty not-great. The random event for the transmog item has been popping up often, but I haven’t gotten lucky yet. I’m at 21k out of the 75k needed to buy it, it’s slow but at least the transmog item is guaranteed over time.

I’ve obtained multiple of the OTHER transmog item for the beaver pet, but not the fox whistle. Alas.

Anima-infused bark can be used to purchase the fox whistle (transmog item.) I’m sitting at 21,375.

I had more, but I spent around 15k for the lumberjack outfit (+2.5% exp gain) and a felling axe handle (gives +10% xp).

Despite having Barbarian Harvesting as my T1 relic, a Rune tier felling axe seems to be slightly better.
I can barely notice a difference in gathering speed between the two, but the felling axe gives substantially more xp.

so first up, i’ll post my progress as of today and outline my goals. my primary goal for this league was to max the account’s levels and reach at least Rune rank. i’d like all 40 demonic pacts as well. (it’s cut off but T7 relic is reloaded into conniving clues, T8 is minion.)
