The size is a little off? but I am wondering if that’s because the Alginate mold wasn’t think enough. So when I poured in the plaster it made the Alginate “swell” a bit. Still workable! Just might need to sand them a bit
With the help from the wonderful @dozertrashpanda.bsky.social I was able to do some life casts of my hands! Which means I can now make some creature hands (paws??)
Wanted to add a little tidbit- when I sculpted this mask I knew he would be wearing glasses. So I added little snoot bumps. So when he wears glasses they stay put.
So, I’ve been thinking about Rakule’s new look for a bit. I just kept having this nagging feeling I wasn’t quite there. All day yesterday it consumed my mind. I was driven to get this out of my head. I think I am finally settled. I am still on the fence about hair, but I added it as a “maybe”
I only have one or two pictures I like of it worn. I am very proud of the piece in of itself, it just didn’t work how I had hoped. The silicone is so heavy it would pull & sag on me. I was focused on appearance more than logistics. Still, wasn’t a total loss as I now know what to do next time.
I don’t think I ever shared these any where but, I tried to make a silicone chest “plate” for Rakule. The idea was I could wear this with the mask, so they blended with one another. Sadly it didn’t quite pan out like I hoped, but I desperately want to try this again. It’s been consuming my mind for

Love it when you see someone try on a costume for the first time, and that person just lights right up. Meanwhile that was me. Haha!
Okay voltage ( tiger) is incredibly dangerous lol. I wore him out for a quick spin and wowie I feel amazing and I wanna keep going/wear him forever lol!! I literally had to stop my self.
Here’s the painting I started the other day. I wanted to paint so I just picked one of the dozens of pictures I’ve saved as a reference. Was really fun practice. Painted this in clip studio on my iPad. I might finish eventually x)
Just something about scales I absolutely LOVE to paint. This is only the beginning but you can see how he’s finally coming to life.
I have Rakule which I feel like you’ve seen, but I also have Acyrus. He’s an elf dude with a tail.
