#ReaderCon haul! I also e-mailed my local indie bookstore to order @kenschneyer.bsky.social 's The Law & The Heart. This should keep me busy for a bit!
At a panel about literary cannibalism at #ReaderCon and this is running through my head:
#ReaderCon day two! Come see us at the Duck Prints Press booth! @duckprintspress.com (I'll be attending a few panels today and Claire is on two of them so, uh, actually finding us here is not guaranteed.)
@tomdoyle.bsky.social @kenschneyer.bsky.social @ce-singer.bsky.social At the Oops All Lawyers table during #Readercon 's Meet the Prose event!
This is James. James loves kids. James also loves teenagers and young adults. The number of times that I've been on a walk and had to say to a gaggle of 20-something dudes "hey so uh my dog is refusing to go further because he wants to say hi, that cool?" So many. So, so many.
Ah, to be a dog whose greatest woe is "Momma is eating ham and not sharing any."
post a picture of yourself from the past that puts you in a light people on here wouldn't expect Idk if people wouldn't expect me to have been pretty darn goth as a teenager but uh that was a thing. I was also a wrestler but didn't find my wrestling pics on FB so goth it is!
Omggggg @duckprintspress.com was out and about today and found these and got them for me and I am so excited for next time we host Oops All Appetizers night because I'm definitely serving my guests from these.
I might be biased on this one because of the number of "not today, not in this grocery store" moments I have with my own daughter.
Made Alfredo sauce for the first time. It's... really easy. This is dangerous information for me to have.
No cheating: your last saved pick of a celebrity is your therapist. I literally just took this screencap of a Tumblr post.
The good news is that the Bread Spheres came out good despite the Proofing Puffery! Yes we do call these Bread Spheres in my house. It's from a recipe for bread bowls for soup but we often eat on the couch so actual bread bowls are Too Much. So I make the spheres half-size for ripping and dipping.
Me: The last few times I made this recipe, the dough didn't proof as quickly as I thought. It's cold today. I'll start the dough earlier so it has plenty of time. The dough, halfway through my anticipated proofing time: Bet?
If you see this, we IMPLORE you to post a picture from whatever device you're using without explanation.
I was going to make chicken-and-broccoli with some sides but then I realized I didn't have a serving bowl that was both (a) large enough and (b) would keep the chicken-and-broccoli warm so they were separate. Still delicious.
Youngest voted for Brinner for our Monday night hosting and, uh, yeah I'm down. Breakfast casserole, yogurt bar, hashbrowns, bagels, and two pounds of bacon. OM NOM.
