7 years ago today: 8.5 hours later - 22 pools, 5000 yards swam, 100 miles driven, one massive gay pride parade driven through (slowly and safely), and two tired swimmers. But we got a 200 yard swim in every free Austin pool all in one day.
Hey all! I have my 6th book ready to publish and am looking for a new literary agent. It's a memoir of my mother told through the postcards I sent her. Happy to provide an outline, a pitch or whatever if you know anyone who might be able to help!
This is how the cult will distance themselves from OBVIOUS lies. By pretending to be erudite and considering all the facts. It just takes one tug of the thread to get them to react and one look at the profile to show that I, once again, was 100% correct.
Well I have submitted this piece for the Minnesota State Fair Fine Art Exhibit.ion. Let's see if I go 2 for 2 in not getting accepted!
Democratic people need to knock this shit off. You don't HAVE to remember the one good thing about a disgusting person just so milquetoast people who will never vote for you anyway can think you didn't do something that offends their delicate sensibilities for one second. 1/2
This is one of my more favorite pictures and memories. A 19 hours layover in Amsterdam on the way home from Ljubljana.

Pretty pleased with this one I created. With all due apologies to Andre the Giant, Shepard Fairey, and "OBEY".
This yellow barrier is the border between Canada and the United States at Point Roberts and it just makes me laugh.
We are further away from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off than Ferris was from D-Day.
I recap running a half-marathon in all 50 States with lots of stats and links and hopefully some inspiration for you if you need it. danerunsalot.blogspot.com/2026/06/a-ha...
Just a few random pictures of me trying to motivate the yoots to stay healthy.
Today in 1935: Jesse Owens has possibly the greatest day in track history (and he only needed 45 minutes) at the Big Ten Champs. 100y - 9.4 [Ties WR] Long Jump - 8.13 [26-8.75] WORLD RECORD 220y - 20.3 WORLD RECORD 220y Hurdles - 22.6 WORLD RECORD
Regardless, the goal has been completed and I want to thank all of you who have been along for it whether it has been since my first half 26 years ago or if you’ve just hopped on in the past few weeks. I’ll have more thoughts on the entire thing sometime soon.
It went really well until it no longer did. But now the half marathon and a marathon in all 50 states is something I can add to my résumé. I thought perhaps today might surprise me as I ran a 7:12 1st mile even with an uphill near the end of it. But at the end of the day going up 500 feet
also be the driest race I have run since Montana last September (thank Flying Spaghetti Monster). So if you'd like to wish Dane Rauschent (?!) some good luck wishes, now is the time. This elevation profile is making me weep. It will NOT be a negative split.
That half-marathon was just 164 days after my knee replacement and only 28 days after I ran my first one-mile run after the knee replacement. This will be the second highest I have ever started a half-marathon and the first highest I have ever finished a half-marathon. It will
This is it. Tomorrow at 7 a.m. I start my 50th state half-marathon. After finishing my 50th state marathon in February (a feat, given the last few months of leg problems, is still something I can't understand how I did), I will be running my 15th half-marathon since July 20th.
One of my pieces found a new home with Kathryn. And that wraps up Art-A-Whirl for 2026!
Look, if Adele Dazeem didn't bother him, this hat sure af isn't .
I ran #everysinglestreet in #Minneapolis in 133 runs to see my new city. Here is a time-lapse of that 1300+ miles (in purple, naturally, to pay homage to Prince.) Recap of the adventure here: danerunsalot.blogspot.com/2023/03/mapp...
