3d printed some box inserts for the Sorcery Gothic boxes to store my spillover cards. The gothic set boxes are really high quality, with thick cardboard and magnetic closures. The grey one is a touch too big, but luckily with printing you can resize them and try again.

Two gothic booster boxes of #Sorcery Contested Realm. One is open, one is closed. The open one shows a "gold" silk 3d printed insert with cards in the slots.
In front is a grey insert that is 3% too big.

Each takes 100g of filament ($1-$2) and two hours to print.

Plant update: it's growing a new shoot or two. My wife planted two of these into a flower pot that already had a plant. The tall shoot is in the middle, a smaller second one is on the left, and we just noticed a new one coming up from the dirt on the right.

Vacuuming and sticky rollering my table, as one does.

My wife had extra ginger root, so she put it in water to cause it to send out small roots and planted it. Like three months later it is touching the ceiling. Not sure what to do with it or what happens next, but it's neat.

Someone on NextDoor was being a dickhead about 3d printing and was like "Do you even print things???" So I ran down to make a quick example setup, took a few pics, then decided against posting dumb bullshit on NextDoor for once. So, here's the pics of stuff I've printed and painted (now with CoS).

Finished my first two CoS Cavaliers in Lethis-y colors! The Future is still drying so I can't do the decals yet. My first mounted minis 😎

My kids have been singing Dolly Parton's song Jolene, except replacing "Jolene" with "Goldeen", the Pokemon. It's been popping up in my head randomly for a few days now.

My first MCP minis built. They're nice to build, clean with mostly easy simple connections. No idea how to paint them really. I feel like I need some paint color list to get them "right".

My Michtoy Stellacon haul from the parking lot flea market. The BB boxes were $5 each, i wanted two and the guy threw the third one in for free. Add that to the stack of GW games I have minis for! I also wanted to get some MCP stuff but this one $10 box was the only one I saw.

Spirit Island was fun last night, playing Many Minds Move as One (beast focused spirit). Half my segment had the invaders wiped out because a magic doggy just kept leading the natives to places that I'd magically protect so they could whomp on invader towns and cities.

A power card, Guide the Way on Feathered Wings, from the game Spirit Island. It basically lets you move a beast token to move Dahan (natives) tokens around on the board.

Those natives will fight invaders, so this lets you easily move them around with some beast backup that sometimes does cool stuff on event cards.

My kids got the Hirst Arts dungeon stuff out again and made this setuo on their own. They're still setting uo the furniture and populating it, but I think it's pretty neat!

Strewn about is furniture, a combination of plaster, wood and heroquest pieces. Some minis are placed, mostly Reaper Bones, but some toy horses can be found too.

Here's how my booth looks. It's just one of the kallax cubes adjacent to my desk. Makes it really easy to take decent pics on demand.

The same setup as the quoted image, except zoomed out to show that the photo booth is inside a kallax cube. You can see the edges of each other adjacent cube around it, which all have random hobby stuff like minis or cards.

Double photobooth upgrade: my background is blacker and smoother and I got a trio of acrylic risers that look better than my previous plastic lid. They also allow for stepped pictures like this, though the focus is a bit difficult.

Finished my Cities of Sigmar Fusiliers in a Lethis-y scheme!

All eleven minis from the #gamesworkshop #ageofsigmar #citiesofsigmar Fusiliers unit. They are gunners hiding behind massive shields that they prop up in front of them.
They're painted in a purple and black scheme using vallejo xpress contrast paints.
The picture is taken in a photobooth at a slight downward angle.

Anyone else still using Future Floor Polish as a gloss coat or for "magic wash" or anything? Still have about one bottle left (split between these two). Has any (floor) product replaced these, or have they been discontinued for awhile now? (Yes, my minis smell of flowers)

Two bottles of Future Floor Polish with different brandings (pledge floor care) on a kallax shelf with a bunch of cheap acrylic paints around them.

It's basically a cheap gloss coat with some flow improver, flower scent and who knows what else. It's an old modelers trick product.

Making sure the day isn't a total waste by doing the transfers on these shields. Getting used to the process, it's not too terrible anymore. The shields are taking a nap while the transfers dry.

Hobby streak continues, though today was a busy day so all I got was the purple on the last three fusiliers. That and the first metal take the most time, so I should be able to finish these tomorrow if I focus.

Four Fusiliers painted today. Here they are without their shields to lean on yet. I really like that they're all equipped and outfitted a little differently, and their stances differ too. Even which side they hold the gun on is split like 40/60 in the squad.

Started painting the jackets of the fusiliers. They have this 'piping' around the edges of the jackets. Mini on the left has it painted black, mini on the right has it painted purple (but, lighter, thanks to slapchop/contrast). Which do we like better? Black on the left, or purple on the right?

Spent a few days just painting these fusilier shields, they took way more time than I thought they would. It was fun painting flames and a lantern (no attempt at OSL though)

After having painted a ton of these ubiquitous "butt of weapon nubs" on my Cities of Sigmar, these torch nubs on the shields of the fusiliers are very sketchy. They're offset a few mm from center. So bizarre. Guess these really are 3d modeled and someone goofed.
