We stopped communism. (It was in the papers and history books). Okay, it was authoritarianism calling itself communism. In some places that's still the case. We stopped fascism thanks to the original Antifa forces. (This was also in the papers and history books). We will stop Trump's new fascism.
Our government has always had corruption to some degree. But the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision opened the flood gates. Thanks SCOTUS...Assholes!

Read the short story "The Bicentennial Man" by Issac Asimov before seeing the movie years later. Asimov was asked to write a story for a science fiction collection to be published for the U.S. Bicentennial. The collection was never published, so Asimov included it in a collection of short stories.
I bought two of Jim Croce's albums when they came out. My favorite song of his was "Roller-Derby Queen." I especially love the chorus and second verse (see below). Jim was a great talent. He died way to soon.
It was the 4th of July celebration we always knew that Trump would deliver.
I just want to point out that obstruction of mail is a federal offense. We can add this to the list of crimes committed by Trump and his accomplices, should they actually try to make the USPS stop mail in ballots.

I see Trump's monument made it to the fair. The Winged Victory statue that sits atop the monument normally symbolizes the goddess Nike and triumph. Not sure what triumph Trump is memorializing, but I doubt it warrants a memorial of any size. Well, maybe this...
Lost my best friend Brisco yesterday. He'd been in declining health for the last few years but nothing prepared us for his sudden departure. He was a good boy and we were lucky to have him for the last 18 years. He will be missed.
Trump has taken a page out of "Idiocracy" and filled the reflecting pool with Brawndo to water plants on the National Mall. Because Brawndo has what plants crave. Elecrolytes!
This photo should be posted every time we have a school shooting. I was going to suggest every time there is a mass shooting, but that would be like every other day in America.
I just finished watching the movie "Number 24." It was about WWII resistance fighter Gunner Sonstby, code name "number 24." I highly recommend it. One of the things he said that resonates today was "We all felt secure, right until we no longer were." Being occupied by NAZIs will do that.

Like most of you, I've seen the mock-up of the Trump $250 bill. Should Trump manage to skirt our laws yet again, and get his ugly mug on our nations currency, I would encourage everyone to invest in a Sharpie and "modify" the offending image. And yes, I have some ideas on that.
