This week I popped into a class collab of Dance and Acting students. I just can’t help but think how lucky they are to be working with others through their bodies and minds largely uninterrupted by digital technology. #AcademicSky #LearningTeaching
I’m having a proper sick day today 🤧 I have this beautiful view from my bed, but I can’t get off my phone!
Everything is ka pai with Billie, & a @colourmefiji.bsky.social art print in it! Yay, for finally meeting the person behind the art and the posts 🌀 Buy art from vunilagivou.com ✊🏽
Fat Freddy’s Drop was amazing last night. Sounded impeccable. Performed with so much heart & remembrance for our DJ Mu.
Photo taken in May 2020. The day we went out of hard lockdown. We’re still a team of 5 million. Just a little bit fractured & fraying at the moment.
Also inspiring was going to a play yesterday with an all-Filipino cast & storyline. It was wild to see, & hear Tagalog & Bisaya live onstage with references that maybe only the Filipino diaspora would understand but then experienced by non-Filipino audience too. www.iticket.co.nz/events/2026/...
Tama Iti rocks a hat, any hat, all day everyday! This is my fave at Waitangi 2024. 🔗 for the significance of the context: www.nzgeo.com/stories/what...
I found it!!! #AcademicSky Pedagogy questions are inseparable from labor conditions questions. Teaching philosophies are inseparable from labor politics. Faculty working conditions are student learning conditions. Addressing pedagogy without addressing labor is, in the big picture, useless.
Good Lorde! It was the loveliest, most inclusive crowd. The kid & I were surrounded by superfans in their friend groups, coupled up & some younger ones with their parents. Yes, I felt proud too—of our Lorde & our young people! Best first concert for my girl! www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainmen...
I did a session today, and this beautiful doggo was in attendance! So cute, & so chill! I would love a doggo but my lifestyle doesn’t suit having one yet.
Cut our camping holiday short because of the weather up north. Sad that parts of Te Tai Tokerau are getting battered again with heavy rains.
New Year’s Day walk after a very chilled day at home 🌳🌱 In the midst of what we might find 2026 to be, I hope we all remember the peace, joy and restfulness of the simple things life brings.
It’s that time when Christmas cheers blur into (the kid’s) birthday celebrations.
Thank you #SecretSantaAoNZ! Great to hear this picture has given you joy! I totally thought it was a frame for my graduation parchment paper 🤣 The good thing is that this is a gift that will keep on giving 🤣🤣🤣 🕺🏻🕺🏽🕺🏾🕺🏼🕺🏿
Must see movie ➡️ The Kitchen (2023). Great acting, storyline, superb soundtrack. Watch it!
