Honestly, I love Professor Owl, but I am sad Disney did him dirty in House of Mouse. He should've not be portrayed as a nothing character like Ivo Hugh from the last Railway Series book that was published in the 1990s which was New Little Engine (published in 1996)...

Honestly, Professor Owl should've not appeared in House of Mouse at all and I have said because he did absolutely nothing in the show, you can easily replace him with Friend Owl (pictured below) from Bambi (1942) and nothing will ever change except Friend Owl appearing instead...

And back to his appearances in House of Mouse, the show got Professor Owl's design wrong, because Professor Owl's white cufflinks and his tail are missing, which shows that House of Mouse did not really care for Professor Owl in the slightest...

Disney was already in the process of removing Corey Burton from voicing the late Bill Thompson's Disney characters and giving them to Jeff Bennett instead, while Professor Owl (for whom Bill Thompson originally voiced him) remains without a proper VA since after 1998...

..Remember that if it was not for "Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom", then Professor Owl would've never existed, given that both shorts are the reason why he exists and why he is an part of Disney history despite the fact he's not an A-list animated Disney character.

It surprises me that despite the fact it won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short and the fact it was Disney's first animated production to be in Cinemascope, "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom" (1953) has never been selected for preservation in the National Film Registry...
