Here's the actual CDC list of "risk factors" on the CVS website. "Physically inactive" is also a risk factor 😂

Cancer
Chronic heart disease
Chronic lung disease including cystic fibrosis
Kidney disease
Diabetes
Dementia or a neurologic condition
Chronic liver disease

CDC Conditions and risk factors:
Blood disorders (including sickle cell disease)
Body mass index greater than 25
Past or current smoker
HIV or tuberculous infection
Weakened immune system
Pregnancy
Substance use disorders
Mental health Conditions
Physically inactive
Solid organ or blood stem cell transplant

ADHD is a mental disorder, right? I think anxiety, too. I take meds and I go to therapy. This was one of the "at risk" factors from the CDC. Here's what my experience was, scheduling an appointment through the CVS app. #COVID-19vaccine

Hey all. I just scheduled a COVID-19 vaccine (and Flu) at CVS. If you haven't scheduled one yet, here are some things to consider:

1. You "can't" get a COVID-19 vaccine if you're "healthy."

2. If you're "at risk" (meaning, you have one or several of the "at risk" factors the CDC lists, which you can find on the CVS website when scheduling the appointment), you can get the vaccine.

3. One factor is a "mental disorder" which doesn't specifically explain what constitutes as a mental disorder? I guess anxiety? ADHD? Depression? I'm guessing they count.

4. In the scheduling process, there's absolutely no way to show proof that you have one of these "at risk" health factors.

5. I was able to get an appointment scheduled pretty quickly.

To conclude...the CDC is trying to bar "healthy" people from getting the vaccine, but don't we all have some form of mental disorder? Also:

1. How is CVS going to have me to "prove" I have a "mental disorder"?

2. CVS has my ADHD meds, which could constitute as proof, I guess.

3. The CDC doesn't have these weird restrictions on the Flu shot at all...but COVID-19? Hmm, I wonder why. Both are similar, but one is worse.

4. Is CVS even going to ASK for proof of my "mental disorder"? If not, is the government going to come after me for making the choice for MY BODY to get the COVID-19 vaccine? Seems wild that they would...

Anyway, do what you will with this information. I'll update ya'll with what I experience that day when I get both the Flu and COVID-19 shots at once. It's highly possible the CDC is just doing this to bar those who want the vaccine who aren't "at risk" from getting the vaccine, which is the whole point of vaccines... Herd immunity for those who are unable to get the vaccine.
