Boobles, my yeast starter made from 4-years expired yeast, (10 years old overall) has been fed and has graduated to a bigger jar! Maybe it's just the 'tism, but these really do feel like pets. Sometimes I have half a mind to take my yeast starter out and watch a movie with it.

Update! Poof (placeholder name) is really starting to look like a genuine yeast starter, full of bubbles and smelling VERY STRONGLY of fermentation. I've stuck it in the very warm reptile room, where it will hopefully continue to mature, and I can jar it!

🚨🚨🚨URGENT!!! ICE ABDUCTION IN DC METRO AREA!!!🚨🚨🚨 My friend's former manager, Sara Alvarado was disappeared by #ICE outside of immigration court in the DC Metro area. This mother of four will be HUMAN TRAFFICKED to Honduras if we can't help her! Everything we know is below.

My friend's discord message, it reads as follows: I’ve got more info on Sara. She was in immigration court to renew her work visa and it was denied (not sure why) and so she left the building and ICE met her outside where she was arrested. Now if she can’t fight the court and get those documents renewed, she will be deported to Honduras where she is from. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna make her blow all her money, not renew her shit and still deport her.

This year’s bean harvest. Not as much as I was hoping, but my garden is riddled with plant diseases, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. However, there’s something to be said for growing native cultivars. I don’t think these would’ve produced anything otherwise.
