We’ve been pondering merch for a while, and I’ve been working away on ideas for t-shirts in the background, based on various aspects of our bollocks.
Well, there we have it. Episode 40 of Reclining Pair. Done. Our Friends in The North, Tricky Cider, food quiz, stone lions and screaming. If you've a 90min (with half-time break) hole in your life, after last night - we've got you. ROFL linktr.ee/recliningpair www.buzzsprout.com/2188080/epis...
Because it's our 40th episode, and because Buckers and I whittered on about Our Friends in The North for about half an hour, you're getting a double episode this month. Well, not quite a double. But two parts.... Might be out by end of week, if my brain hasn't fucking melted.
The nobber has a doppelnobber, here at the new place, and seems fascinated by him #cats
In a break from talking about beer, Rob and I had a cider month.... and these are about as good as it gets, from Tricky 🍏👌 #cider
If anyone's looking for a new series to get their teeth into, and hasn't seen this already, it'd dead, dead good.
Really excited to be starting these after a brilliant month of Tricky Cider... from @kernelbrewery.bsky.social Famously high quality brewer. Rob came over last Friday and we made a right pig's ear of splitting them. TK sent 4x extras, and Rob forgot his when he left, so He's taken his
I'd like to throw in my two-penneth regarding a new #NationalAnthem. The way to go is clearly the main theme from 1975 classic DOC SAVAGE. But whenever the lyric is "Doc Savage!, Doc Savage!" We replace it with "Great Britain!, Great Britain!" or something.
Preparations are already well underway. Snide milk chocolate digestive, from up the Lidl, I suspect.
Thoughts and prayers to anyone travelling overseas with small children in this heat. Not really, I think you’re off your fucking heads. Still…. be lucky, yeah? This from episode 3 (not 12... silly bastard) linktr.ee/recliningpair
All credit to Buckers, when she came on board full-time, she met my rambling fucking nonsense like she'd been doing it all her life. I can confirm neither myself or Nina have yet been approached about public speaking. linktr.ee/recliningpair
Right, who wants an ice-cream? No, you’re not having a drink as well, one or the other. I’m not made of money. And don’t cry or you’ll get nothing. Come on! He’ll have gone by the time you make your mind up! [Reclining Pair episode 14] linktr.ee/recliningpair
Been watching Goolagong on BBC. These modern tennis players, with their lightweight, squishy balls & Robinson’s Barley Water don’t know they’re born! It put me in mind of this story from episode 12 of our little pod. linktr.ee/recliningpair
I feel like I'm on holiday @deathofbuckley.bsky.social because we put out the last episode early, to hit Father's Day... So I'm poking about in the archive. Not an old, archive - granted, but it feels a loooong time ago. This was the first one we ever recorded. linktr.ee/recliningpair
What connects these eight gents? 🤔🤔🤔 Find out in episode 39 of Reclining Pair... www.buzzsprout.com/2188080/epis... linktr.ee/recliningpair @deathofbuckley.bsky.social
We had this jar, that once had picked onions in it, and later sugar, but the onion smell and flavour never quite left it. I believe onion sugar gave me special powers. I could throw a Dutch arrow about 6 miles, and shin up a tree like a filthy little spider monkey.
Putting together a TV list for a mate, and I'd like to remind people, when the news at the moment feels like one raging bin fire after another, there's never a bad time to rewatch this absolute masterclass in what makes up the very best of us... #stationeleven
