Spouse told me our local AQI got up to the 500s. Said he’ll take Mi Madre to her physical therapy appnt. today. Chica & I are going to watch Ghibli flicks meanwhile.

We decanted some to a smaller jar & Mi Madre has been enjoying it daily with hot thyme tea or lemon juice tea while fighting a minor chest congestion / summer cold.

On a semi-clean electric range, at left: the huge glass mason jar of honey, resting on a folded paper towel. Jar’s measurement markings indicate this is 64 ounces: a fucking half gallon. There were no labels or written identification of any kind on its sides or on its screw-top canning lid.

Took hours to prep & cook but was Yum, by household consensus.

On the left: homemade tortilla with a little bit of sliced lettuce, Maricopa beans, and Mexican fried rice, resting on top of my spoon and chicken taco salad because I stopped mid-bite to take this photo. At the right: my husband’s beautifully plated taco salad (whole baby red bell peppers at its edges, a crown of sliced avocado in its center). Just before her excited barks turned into sneezes & coughing

👍 I’m all about nontoxic-as-possible art supplies YMMV but the da Vinci ultramarine watercolor I have leans towards green more than purple. Older tube, though.

Drinking custom herbal tea mixes every morning with Mi Madre. I wish these tea infusers were more widely available outside of The Amazon Store, bc they work very well.
