Thinking this morning about how I grew up in a town where Main Street is an actual Dead End and I’m sure there’s a book, movie, or album to be made somewhere there.
I have a feeling my Dad’s 45s will be the gift that keeps on giving. This is The Platters on Mercury records, released November 3, 1955. The other side is “I’m Just a Dancing Partner”.
I got a trombone in the mail today. It was grandpa’s. He saved up the money to buy it when he was a kid. He was especially proud of himself that he saved up the additional money for the case.
My great grandfather was a “decorative stone carver” whose work can be seen at Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building. This ashtray is the only example of his work that my grandma had. Now it’s mine and I’m so happy to take care of it.

Ozzy was a cool ass dude and a better human than people gave him credit for. Shortly after this photo he hugged me, lifted me off the ground, and said “I love you, baby!”. It was the best. I’ll miss knowing he’s in the world.
