Have a sinus infection so sitting here watching the washing dry. Also getting weepy at every nature and pet photo on the skyline, cos that’s what happens when I get sick

It’s a sunny day. At the centre of the photo is a clothesline half full of washing. At the top is beautiful blue sky; behind the washing, my mandarin trees are full of fruit, and behind them the mango trees. there are two white upturned washing baskets on the ground in the forefront of the photo. At the very bottom is a strip of concrete over which is a plastic mat, with a very bright blue and white pattern.

Walking the dogs on dusk the other night, rain coming. Warm winds, the sounds of the parrots coming in to roost, palms waving in the wind. Perfect NQ evening

It’s my weekend. This is how ‘Sunday’ is shaping up

In the middle, a carved wooden Tarot card box sits, I’ve been using it as a phone stand. To the right of that is a carved trivet, an heirloom from my grandma, on top of which is my cup of coffee in a bright blue, orange and yellow mug. Behind the coffee is a hot pink plastic ‘keep cup’ full of water. In the left is a vintage ceramic pot with a green Phildendron. in the background is a vintage chair painted turquoise and behind that is a gigantic old TV which is too heavy for me to move - and thus it sits.

I got this piece of lead light at an op shop probably 15 years ago and it’s been sitting in a box ever since. Today I unpacked it - and it’s like it was made to go with my kitchen casements

At the left of the photo is a casement window. The top half is a deep golden yellow glass, the bottom is a purple mauve glass. At the right hand holds a small piece of lead light. The colours echo the window colors with some extra green. It is a stylised floral design.

Some moments from this morning

The corner of my kitchen. At the back, casement windows with purple glass at the bottom and yellow at the top are behind a glass bottle with water plants. In front are various dishes with pears, a homegrown Mandarin as well as an old bottle with a red lid containing biscuits. There’s also a yellow teacup with some mint cuttings

My Wi-Fi around to lives on this very cobwebby milk crate. The cobwebs are catching the light quite beautifully. It’s it’s on ancient lino with electrical cord to the right. This is in the area of the house. I am still renovating, It’s an old house and the wifi wiring are wires coming through the wall that I’ve Screwed into the back of an adapter. Every time I try and move the router the Wi-Fi goes down. So on top of this old milk crate it stays

And old pine table is topped with various yellow paint Sample cards. There is a hand coloured coaster at the front. At the back of the pic is an indoor potted palm next to an old sideboard.

Earlier we picked some jaboticaba (tree grapes) and a paw paw, now sitting under the fan; Dad is outside on the ride-on mower; the cicadas are going mad; I’ve made a mango dessert it’s a very NQ Christmas 🤶
