scarface - the diary (1994) finding out scarface is technically southern hip hop was really strange after hearing this because it sounds extremely west coast, which usually slides off of my brain. one thing is for sure: scarface says motherfucker a lot. underrated storytelling for the time. 7.75/10

ka - descendants of cain (2020) i feel like every drumless rap album i listen to is better than the last one. the singular voice on here between the production, lyrics and pacing is untouchable. ka’s understated tone could become one note, but thirty three minutes is perfect. 9/10
