Happy #Canada Day! It's not perfect, and we have much reconciliation work to do with Indigenous Nations, who occupied this beautiful land long before the arrival of the first settlers. We're a young country that continues to hold great promise. But to achieve all the we can be we must remain united.
It reminds me of #Canadian artist Alex Colville and his work in Magic Realism and the subgenre he created known as Atlantic/Maritime Realism. His painting To Prince Edward Island, is a prime example of his approach.
