I ended up doing all of World 9 just because I didn't feel like finishing the bosses. Now all I have left are the bosses. Fuck.
I love Donkey Kong Country Returns, but Mirror mode is testing my patience.
Easy puzzle aside, this is the first time I've felt it's obvious MonolithSoft also worked on Breath of the Wild. The way the game leads you into some gorgeous vistas is immaculate.
I only have the K-levels, the last set of bosses, and 9-9 left. These last levels are all about being patient, especially on a OHKO.
You can pinpoint the moment my thumb gives in. Hard and Ultimate difficulty are gonna give me carpal tunnel.
Ino feels very out of place. She's unabashedly anime, but not in the same way as the rest of the cast. She's weird without even mentioning the whole inside out anatomy fetish thing. Admittedly I haven't played Xenoblade 2, but I figure she'd be more at ease in that title instead.
I was reminded by @thetitsofmio.bsky.social that I had the DLC. Did they intentionally make Eunie look this close to Asuka? Kinda like Sena's outfit. Mio is full punk vibes.
A good thing about games with job systems is that you can dress the characters in the cuntiest outfits. Good for Noah rocking Ethel's wardrobe despite lacking in the chest department.
Played turbo mode for a bit. Feels bad and I don't see the point when time attack already exists. At least it gives me an excuse to try Dixie.
All my previous attempts at Mirror mode have died at this level because the hitboxes in the boulders are way bigger than they appear to. This is officially the farthest I've ever gotten in this game.
Mangoruby is such a weird boss. It feels like a Metroid battle stuck in a Donkey Kong wrapper.
Congrats to MonolithSoft on finally achieving their goal of making an offline MMORPG I guess. The UI is as busy as as your average FFXIV raid.
