Republicans have now had three chances to make a budget that actually helps working families. Here's what we got instead: 1. Tax breaks for the rich and massive health care cuts 2. $70 billion for ICE 3. $95 billion for Trump's war with Iran
Trump promised no more foreign wars and lower costs on day one. He lied. These aren't just broken promises — they're deliberate policy choices made by this lapdog Republican Congress.
Why can Republicans in Congress always find money for billionaires and wars, but never for the rest of us? Because that's who they serve.
I introduced an amendment to block taxpayer funding for Trump's ballroom. Every Republican voted against it.
Today we celebrated 8 years of UP for Women and Children — the sole day shelter exclusively serving women experiencing homelessness and their children here in Louisville. Words can't express how grateful we are for all they do.
All of Donald Trump's schemes are different, but the pattern is the same. He turns public office into private profit every chance he gets.
Every Republican just voted against my amendment to block taxpayer money for Trump's ballroom.
When Republicans in Congress show you who they are, believe them. Their budget does nothing to make your life easier, because all they do here is Donald Trump's bidding.
Republicans will use every word in the book to avoid admitting their budget puts our country into more debt. But it does — and doesn't do anything to make gas, groceries, or going to the doctor cheaper.
It's always a good week when @steelworkers.bsky.social are in DC — including some of our brothers and sisters from USW District 8! Steelworkers power this country, and we're standing together in the fight together to protect every worker's health and safety.
The Camp Ground Rd data center is going to increase the demand on our power grid. We cannot allow out-of-state companies to continue exploiting our people and resources for their bottom line. Louisvillians shouldn’t be the ones to pay for it.
Affordable health care was already out of reach for so many Americans. Republicans in Congress made it worse. They picked massive handouts for their billionaire donors over making sure families can go to the doctor.
I just conducted an oversight visit at an ICE detention facility in Kentucky. The stories I heard are heartbreaking. They're tearing families apart and spending billions of taxpayer dollars to do it. This cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
DACA recipients have done everything right, but the Trump administration continues to punish them. Extreme renewal processing delays mean Louisvillians are losing jobs and struggling to provide for their families — through no fault of their own. We're demanding answers.
The Trump Administration doesn't get to decide who's worthy to live here — if you were born in America, you're an American. Period.

Yesterday, Trump blocked a bill to build more affordable housing. Apparently housing in this country is "of minor importance” but his DC vanity projects are a top priority. Here’s how much they’re costing us… bit.ly/4eMhwTW
Miscarriage is incredibly common, and for many of our neighbors it's the worst situation imaginable. No one should have to face the threat of arrest on top of that pain. As we mark 4 years without Roe, I'm leading an effort to end pregnancy criminalization.
In the 4 years since the Dobbs decision, Kentuckians have suffered under one of the most extreme abortion bans in the country. The consequences have been devastating. Congress must restore the right to safe, legal abortion.

Always great to have my family out in DC for the Congressional Baseball Game for charity (and very honored to be the Dem MVP!) Sadly no W for the Dems this year, but I think next year might be our year 👀
Too many communities have been forever changed by gun violence — including Louisville. During Gun Violence Awareness Month, we wear orange to honor the friends, loved ones, and neighbors we've lost to gun violence. We can and must do more to prevent these tragedies.
If Republicans want to look at waste, fraud, and abuse, let's start with Trump's billion dollar ballroom.
Trump thinks our tax dollars should serve him and only him. My amendments would have blocked funding for his special interest projects and put that money toward what our communities actually need.
