Late yesterday, the PA General Assembly passed - and Gov. Shapiro signed - the 2026-27 state budget. This budget reflects many of the core priorities that House Democrats have championed and fought for over many years.
🛒Did you or someone you know lose food purchased through SNAP due to recent power outages? The PA Department of Human Services may be able to help.
And on Monday, we’ll go back to work fighting for a future that is healthier, happier, more prosperous and more just - and to protect the rights and freedoms declared in Philadelphia 250 years ago. Onward!

Bullying is wrong, no matter what. No student should have to suffer such torment simply because of who they are.

A very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures whose love and support help keep families strong and healthy. My dad passed less than a year ago, and so I am mindful too of all those feeling mixed emotions and a sense of loss today. May their memories be a blessing.
📚 🍎 It's that time of year again! Our office is partnering with the Centre County YMCA and Centre County Pearls for our annual Back-To-School Drive! Last year, we helped provide hundreds of local students with backpacks and supplies. And we couldn’t have done it without you.
In the last 24 hours there has been a lot of noise and deliberate misinformation spread by organizations seeking to defund PA public schools and divert your hard-earned taxpayer dollars to secretive, black box tax credit programs valued at over $680 million!
Last week, I was honored to join PA Secretary of Agriculture Russ Redding and other dignitaries at the Boalsburg Farmers Market to help kick off the 2026 Farmers Market Nutrition Programs.
Our State College office is closed today due to staffing. We are available by phone (814-308-0569) and email (Reptakac@pahouse.net)

State College Pride just keeps getting bigger and better every year!
Had a great time joining Trout Unlimited and Clearwater Conservancy for their Youth Fishing Event this past week! I was honored to kick off the event by thanking the more than 80 volunteers and community members who helped make the day possible.
