🚨 You know who's using AI? Scammers, who are taking billions from American seniors every year. Congress must act. A good start would be passing Senator Kelly's new bill to help seniors know when they are interacting with an AI-chatbot. Watch ⬇️
We have a right to our Social Security. And straight answers. We applaud @warren.senate.gov for standing up for older Americans!
Not only are the upcoming changes to Medicaid's work requirements cruel, they make it harder for doctors to give us the care we need. Now, providers are speaking out. Go to the comments for a link to the full story.
President Trump says "affordability" is a made up word. What would you say to him if given the chance?
Shameful. 50 members of the U.S. Senate voted to allow for-profit AI corporations to come between doctors and patients today. The guaranteed health care seniors have earned through a lifetime of work should never depend on whether an algorithm agrees with their doctor.
We're proud to endorse @troyjackson207.bsky.social's campaign to be the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate! He's always fought for retirees in Maine, and he'll work to strengthen Medicare and protect Social Security for current and future generations.
📰 Last year, Elon Musk and DOGE's massive staffing cuts at the Social Security Administration led to long wait times and delays. Now, the agency has begun to hire workers again. We won't stop fighting for a fully staffed SSA. Learn more at the 🔗 in the comments.
Trump says that he's lowered prices for essentials like groceries and gas. 💬 Tell us: Have things gotten more affordable for you lately? 👇
Remember how Speaker Mike Johnson declared Republicans have a plan to "fix" (read: CUT SPENDING ON) Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security? Seniors sure do. That's why we're going to the polls in November to elect a Congress that PROTECTS these benefits!

When a former DOGE official took our confidential data with him on a THUMB DRIVE, it showed that we can't trust the Trump Administration to keep our information private. We need Congress to take action and hold those who compromised our data accountable.
When the wealthiest Americans have more money than ever, we have the means as a matopm to keep Social Security solvent and strong for generations to come. That's why we need to #ScrapTheCap and make sure *everyone* can live and retire with dignity!
Last week, Senator Bernie Moreno co-authored an op-ed about why Congress needs to #ScrapTheCap. Back in March, he spoke against raising the retirement age and for everyone paying their fair share. Momentum is growing, and we can't slow down. Sign our petition, 🔗 in comments!
"It's taken from me with a promise, every paycheck, that it will be there for you." Yes! Every paycheck we've ever made has included a payment to Social Security. It's OUR money that we've EARNED. 💬 Go to our comments for a link to the full story.
🤨 Senator Tillis, can we please have a word? Social Security is a promise, but it's also something we've spent our lifetimes paying into and therefore earned. Raising the retirement age, even by a year or two, denies older Americans of the benefits that are rightfully ours!

As @senwhitehouse.bsky.social points out, if we #ScrapTheCap, the ones who pay more will still be wealthy, while the rest of us can enjoy our full benefits.
Earlier this year, reports came out alleging that a former DOGE employee took Americans' private Social Security data on a thumb drive(!) for his own use. @socialsecurityworks.org President Nancy Altman explains to @cortezmasto.senate.gov why this is so dangerous and a violation of our rights.
We're proud to endorse Marlene Galán-Woods in the #AZ01 primary! She's a fierce advocate for Arizona's retirees, and we know she will be a strong voice for us in Congress.
The Mississippi Alliance intervened in the RNC v. Watson case to protect the right of older Americans and all mail voters to cast a ballot that will be counted. That right was affirmed by today's decision.
👏 In a country where Elon Musk can become the world's first trillionaire, there's no good reason why everyone can't enjoy full Social Security benefits. Thank you, Senator Ron Wyden: We CAN do better, and it starts when we #ScrapTheCap.
In just 6 years, the Social Security trust fund is going to be depleted. That means reduced benefits (that we've paid for!) for every current and future retiree. Join Arizona Alliance President Linda Somo and tell Congress to fix this and #ScrapTheCap, 📝 in comments.
💯 Every American should be able to retire with dignity and security, especially when there's so much wealth in this country. Thank you, Senator Sanders, for calling it out: We need to #ScrapTheCap and have everyone pay their fair share.
It's no secret that President Trump wants to make it harder for older Americans to vote by mail. Now he's demanding the Postal Service do his dirty work and refuse to deliver ballots to eligible voters. Senator Peters isn't standing for it, and neither will we.
We are the richest country on Earth, but more than 20 percent of retirees are trying to survive on just $15,000 a year. As @sanders.senate.gov says, we need to do better than that.
In 2032, the average American's Social Security benefits will be reduced by $500/month UNLESS Congress acts. Luckily, there's a simple solution to keep our benefits strong for generations to come: #ScrapTheCap and make sure everyone pays their fair share. Senators Warren and Moreno explain:
Today, two senators — one Republican, one Democrat — published an important piece with a call to action: #ScrapTheCap on Social Security and prevent a $500/month cut in our benefits. Richard Fiesta breaks down this significant moment and how you can take action, 🔗 in comments.
