This diner in my neighborhood uses the most AI-iffied images of food in its promos and menus. As you might imagine, the food quality is on par with its low-effort advertising.
Taking a moment for little joys and sending care to all who need it
Those of us in NY, especially NY-10, need to let Schumer, Gillebrand, and Goldman know how we feel about this unilateral declaration of war. These are the NY congresspeople who've cosponsored H.Con.Res.38. There are no co-sponsors to S.J.Res.59.
Katelyn, I've been catching up on your podcast all day and just want to say thank you for your sharp (and funny) insights that keep me feeling a little less hopeless. ❤️🔥 www.youthoutright.org?give=PYEVM6DX
Are either of these moonstone? If so, I'd love to know the prices, etc., especially the rhomboid one.

Did a little rage knitting over the weekend with leftovers from a big cowl project. Soon I'll have a matching hat. Pattern: Favorite Things: Anti-Fascism by @leedoesstuff.bsky.social 🧶: Rowan Felted Tweed DK in Pine, Frozen, Lime, Heliotrope, and Iris.
I finished my Wimbledon WIP while watching the Australian Open 🐨 🎾 It'll look better tomorrow after blocking, but I wanted to share something calm and pretty. It's been a day, friends. Be kind to yourselves. 🫶🏻 👨🎨: Green Lane Cowl by Kaffe Fasset, Rowan No. 76 🧶: 8 colors of Rowan Felted Tweed DK
It's very cold across most of the country, so to counteract that, quote-post a favorite photo from a summertime baseball game. One of the joys of a summer birthday is going to Coney Island to see the Cyclones. The best time was meeting Sandy the Seagull. 💙🧡
No cheating. Reskeet with the most recent picture of your pet. cc: @bripod.bsky.social
To end the year with some good vibes, my love @bripod.bsky.social and I spent the afternoon with "Monet and Venice" at the Brooklyn Museum. As Stephen Sondheim said, writing as Monet-contemporary George Seurat (and immortalized by Mandy Patinkin): "Color and light. There's only color and light."
Spent a few hours with my love, @bripod.bsky.social, at the Ruth Asawa retrospective at MoMA today. I've been exhausted ever since from awe and inspiration.
That view! Ours is only slightly less stunning, just a bit down the hill.
Went looking to block this guy but the filter "Users who have used the R word" had already taken care of it for me, because of course
Our flower CSA sent a huge bunch of fragrant eucalyptus "for centerpieces" today. Since our table is a craft space rather than an eating space, I made a bouquet instead (with enough left to make 3 or 4 more!).
We are now a week into the reduction and/or elimination of SNAP, WIC, and other federally subsidized programs that feed our neighbors and friends with, no end in sight. If you're looking for a way to help, I invite you to give to Project Hajra: tinyurl.com/project-hajra-collaborators
Both the colorway and my project were inspired by the portrait by Eugène Delacroix of a lovely, pensive Black woman in sumptuous clothes. I was lucky enough to see this painting in person on an anniversary trip to Paris, pre-Covid.
I'm currently blocking a stunning, if I do say so, shawlette I made for a sweet friend's birthday. I made a DK version of @xandypeters.bsky.social's Feather Flame pattern, using @isasaxonists.bsky.social's Republic of Yarnia Wintery Muse yarn from last year's Antiracist Craft Club. 🧶
The colorway was inspired by Delacroix's portrait of a lovely, pensive Black woman in a deep blue turban, light blue dress, and fur wrap. I was lucky enough to see this painting for myself on an anniversary trip to Paris pre-Covid.
I guess Tennis Channel 🎾 isn't on here (and they didn't ask on the site) so I can't tell them that I canceled because Sinclair, their parent company, is run by a bunch of fascists who want to their affiliates to be state TV. Authoritarians ruin everything.
