May I offer an image of my orange dumbass? Pumpkin was the goofiest and loving and bitey little weirdo. Orange cats have no concept of consequences so they would make PERFECT jesters.

I played a LOT of games growing up but these ones hit me the hardest. Pokemon, zelda, most final fantasy, all 3 fable, KOTOR and 2. These franchises defined me and made me want to make games.

Kingdom hearts, star wars: knights of the old Republic, pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky, fable the lost chapters, zelda ocarina of time, the elder scrolls oblivion, final fantasy x, dragonfable, bravely default

ok so 2 ideas 1. in edit mode press a and then m to merge any overlapping verts 2. check face orientation. if you see red then press a and then alt-n to open the normals menu and recalculate outside. if this doesnt work i may ask you to DM me the file so i can look at it.

Once those faces are deleted you can then get the edges like this. grab an edge on each side and press f (image 2)

ok i think i get it now. So delete the face on the end of the handle and on the part of the mug you are trying to connect it to. Ive highlighted them in this image.

I recently lost my orange too, but he was always happy to purr and bring a smile to everyone that met him. His name was Pumpkin and he followed me home one day after school 19 years ago. His vet gave him the nickname of "Sweet Baby Pumpkin" because he was just far too sweet.
