@rodger.bsky.social I hate to do this to you, but this is wrong. The 1956 Olympics in Australia had equine events in Sweden due to Aussie equine quarantine laws. And surfing in the 2024 Paris Olympics happened in Tahiti.

The six-country, three-continent World Cup feels like a lot, but we’re also entering an era when shared hosting duties for major international sporting events are becoming much more common. The USA, Mexico, and Canada are sharing the World Cup; the 2030 Olympics will be the first with events in multiple countries; the 2023 Women’s World Cup was shared between Australia and New Zealand; and the 2031 Women’s World Cup will be shared between the USA and a handful of other North American countries. It’s hard to have one nation host an entire sporting event!

Van Wetzel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota, Florida. The building is purple with ribbing, located right on the Intercoastal Waterway, with a circular drive in front of it and palm trees/greenspace nearby.

Without even reading this CNBC story, I'm going to call bullshit on this entire headline. Remote work is happening in office jobs. Nearly all youth employment is in service/retail jobs. There is ZERO causation/correlation. This is just anti-work-from-home propaganda.
