I feel like this is emblematic of a lot of culture war shit. Agency framed as unidirectional. I had to explain this to a friend yesterday who was slipping into reactionary belief and was upset at my critique of him. I cannot tell you what to believe, but you also cannot tell me how to feel about it.
I think hyper-regional food is extremely cool in its own right and I also hate how unrelentingly *weird* people can be about it.
I hate the actual thing that is D&D (tm) almost as much as I love doing the thing we call D&D with my friends
I think there is a lot to be justifiably angry about but I think being angry all the time just hollows you out, no help to anyone, yourself least of all
I avoid comment sections as a rule, so when I'm accidentally exposed to youtube comments I immediately take brain damage over the sorts of things that are apparently very real problems to the worlds most useless people
