Full of very useful information regarding things like the different colors of Kryptonite. Editor and music appreciator. Wears black. It saves time. She/her/hers. www.superstareditor.com
Just saw an episode of Superfriends wherein Batman gets turned into a "dump monster."* It's a total metal Lovecraftian cyberpunk look, and we need action figures immediately. *as in trash dump.
Anyway, I love this movie and it's okay if you do too. It was always okay. If you don't, take your um actuallys elsewhere. Someday, I'll detail my grand correlation between Batman movies and pivotal Batman comics. Until then, thanks for coming to my BAT talk.
My office is directly across from City Hall, which is where the Knicks parade will be ending tomorrow. In their honor, I'm working remotely. But here's the calm before the awesome storm! Congrats, fans!
I generally don't get caught up in the hype, nor do I generally wear non-black shirts, but well, here we are. End of an era!
Honestly, the closest equivalent was MySpace. Maybe we shouldn't have abandoned it. 🙄 Anyway, all this is to say I had a nice walk yesterday, and here are some nice photos of that.
She accomplished so much and has died so young, and it's just sad and unfair, basically. RIP, Marjane Satrapi. Thanks for sharing all your worlds.
I'd like to give a special shout-out to his Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel. Although most of her series was written by Chris Claremont, Gerry Conway kicked it off, and her sparring with J. Jonah Jameson over salary was pure joy and empowerment. Hell, women still need this example for negotiating.
Look at this gem. Is the title BEEP BEEP or The Road Runner? Were there really over 900 hundred issues? I must know more!
I read many books above my age level, but I'd say reading V. C. Andrews was a singular rite of trashy passage for too-young Gen X and Millennial gals. Even Clan of the Cave Bear pretended to have some kind of historical merit.
I did my whole long post thread to honor Sam Kieth, and then a friend posted this panel, and it says it all really. RIP, Sam.
I will miss his singular work, especially in an era of pop culture that seems to prize polish above everything else. His work was raw and visceral and loud and bright. I hope he's found his way to the Outback now. Thanks for it all, Sam.
I'm so sad to hear about the passing of Sam Kieth. He was truly an original visionary of an artist and also in my very limited interactions with him, just a nice guy. You'll see a lot about the Maxx (deservedly so!) and Sandman, but my favorite works were smaller and more character-driven.
Farewell to Robert Duvall, critically acclaimed actor, 70s cinema icon, and possibly one of the hottest bald men ever to polish his pate.
Merry Christmas, you miserable little beggers! Watching my favorite version of A Christmas Carol and eating my holiday breakfast. Make your own traditions. They are rewarding!
I hear the sounds of the city and dispossessed Get down, get undressed Get rid of you and me We got the kingdom, we got the key

Share an awesome '70s movie! (Poster is hanging up at the lower Manhattan Alamo, and I was just there last week, what a nice coincidence. Gonna see this next March on Broadway with Jon Bernthal, too!)
