Preordered The Tuxedo Society because it sounded fun, only to realize after the fact that this author also wrote Jeffrey, a film which, in its entirety, lives rent free in my brain. Not very far into the novel yet, but there was just a mention of cater waiters and I almost squealed in glee #booksky

Been watching Fargo S5 and fell in love with the huge amazing painting in Jennifer Jason Leigh’s office. I was feeling the vibe so I pulled out some stash fabrics and sewed one for myself. Due to space limitations, not quite as big as I’d have liked. Haven’t decided yet if I will quilt and bind it 🧵

Centred in the photo is a large sewn piece, a patterned yellow “No” on a dark red background. From context clues, it is clearly more than a yard across and slightly less deep. There is a white shelf above it which holds mostly cones of weaving yarns but also some knick knacks, chocolate, incense, and other random items. To the viewer’s left can be seen a pegboard with some skeins of yarn. A black and white patterned couch (clearly ikea) is in the bottom of the frame, with a gold fabric knitting bag sitting on one corner.

Just about finished this test knit for Wool & Pine, a sweet little croppy tee with some lace detailing at the bottom. I like the length where it is, so now to bind off the hem and then knit the ribbing at the neckline and sleeve cuffs. Sunshiney yarn from local genius dyer Rose Hill Yarns 💛☀️
