I look on humanity and despair.

Screenshot from a public community group on the cesspool known as Facebook. Original post says: "So... people just walking around outside with their kids and dogs right now... where's your brain at? There is SEVERE air quality conditions outside."

The first reply says: "Relax karen"
The second reply says: "Just got done cutting grass for a little over an hour, gonna grill for dinner before I go to work outside in it all night."
Third reply says: "STFU! I had to work outside all day. It's dumb fucks like you who made everyone wear masks, shut schools down, caused small businesses to fail, cancel holiday events, and a whole list of harmful things over a bad cold. No one wants to hear your bull shit!"

The replies (200+) continue in this vein with only a few people pointing out the dangers and getting ridiculed for doing so.

The AQI in that area has been in the 400-500+ range all day.

I believe it's smoke because the Boundary Waters are on fire 😭 I checked the PurpleAir map against the satellite view in the Weatherfront app and there appears to be a big smoke plume.

We had a good run, green beans, but now I seem to be unable to eat any form of phaseolus vulgaris without unpleasant consequences. Sucks though because the Sichuan dry fried green bean recipe I made last night was freaking delicious.
